My beloved wife Kathy Sue Luttschwager entered into God’s Kingdom on September 21st when the good Lord called her home.

Kathy was born to Elsie and Albert Freire on April 5th, 1957, in Calexico, CA. When Kathy was 17 years old, the Lord called her to be one of His children, and she never stopped sharing God’s Word from that moment to her last day.

In 1975, Kathy met Mark, and their love blossomed and grew year by year. Kathy and Mark went on to have 4 children, Trinna, Mykahl, Jeremy, and Derrik. Kathy loved God, first and foremost, and everyone she talked to, heard about how great God is, and everyone she met loved her for that. She loved people and wanted to make sure everyone she came into contact with knew of the saving grace of our savior, Jesus Christ.

Kathy joins her brother, Frank, and her father, Albert in Heaven. Those awaiting their time to reunite with her in heaven are her husband, Mark and her children.

1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time He may exalt you.

Isaiah 41:13

For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, Fear not, I am the one who helps you.

Jeremy John Chatelain
February 7, 1974 – September 15, 2025

Jeremy John Chatelain was born on February 7, 1974, in Murray, Utah, to Gordon and Barbara Chatelain. He was later raised by Barbara and Porter Dutson and was the third of eight children in a loving and energetic home in West Jordan, Utah.
After graduating from West Jordan High School, Jeremy enlisted in the Utah Air National Guard, serving from May 1992 to January 1999. In 1994, he paused his military service to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cabanatuan, Philippines. Upon his return, he resumed his service in the Guard as a Staff Sergeant and aircraft maintenance specialist, ensuring the care and readiness of the KC-135E Stratotanker — a vital part of U.S. Air Force aerial refueling operations.
Jeremy pursued higher education with dedication, earning a Bachelor's degree in English from Weber State University Ogden, Utah August 1998, where he met and married Connie Stanford. They married June 21, 1997, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Jeremy was hired by the Church as a seminary teacher in Blackfoot, Idaho. Just after purchasing their first home, Jeremy and Connie visited family in Emmett, Idaho, to enjoy the Payette River — a cherished family tradition. Tragically, on July 11, 1998, Jeremy sustained a spinal cord injury while diving from a bridge, leaving him paralyzed for the next 27 years.
Despite this life-altering event, Jeremy’s spirit remained unshaken. In 2002 Jeremy and Connie welcomed their daughter, Sarah, who brought immeasurable joy into their lives. Jeremy went on to earn a Master’s degree in Education from Idaho State University in 2005. The family later moved to Ogden, Utah, where Jeremy continued teaching seminary. In 2010, they received their son, Dallin, strong, and stalwart. Ever dedicated to growth and learning, Jeremy earned a Ph.D. in Communication in 2018. He published multiple academic papers, including collaborative work with Dr. Kim Mangun, and published his first book:
The Imprint of the Press: A Cultural History of the Influence of Nineteenth-Century American Print on Mormonism.
He was also a featured speaker at several Sperry Symposiums at Brigham Young University and presented widely on religious communication, education, and culture.
In 2016, the Chatelain family accepted a new assignment move to Colorado Springs, Colorado. At the time of his passing, Jeremy was serving as the Online Seminary Principal and Area Remote Adapted Needs Coordinator for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion. Jeremy devotedly advocated with church and community programs to invite participation for persons with disabilities especially youth and young adults.

Jeremy passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, surrounded by his beloved family.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his Dad, Gordon Chatelain, Sister, Tiffany Dutson, Brother, Andy Dutson, Grandparents.

In Loving Memory of Lisa Christine Cook
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lisa Cook, who left her physical
body on her birthday August 26, 2025 at the age of 55. She was a cherished Wife, Pops,

the nursing profession. After a family member was on hospice, her true nursing passion
was born. For 17 years, Lisa served as a hospice nurse, o ering comfort and compassion to
patients and their families during the most vulnerable time in their lives. She often said, “If I
can prepare just one patient, spouse, son, daughter to what is coming, then my work has
been done.” Her words reflect the heart and soul she poured into her work. Lisa’s legacy of
empathy, strength, and unwavering dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her spouse, Jenn Cook. Her children: Khaymon Ray & Katahna Swank,
Hannah & Rylee Brown, Hunter Ray & Jalista Castillo, Mack James, James & Audrey Garcia,

Victoria Galetka, beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away on September 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family, who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.

Victoria was a fighter in every sense of the word. As a young single mother, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children and loved them with all she had. She carried the responsibilities of both mom and dad, and while life was not always easy, she never stopped showing up for her family. She taught by example—through strength, determination, and unconditional love.

Fierce in her devotion, Victoria stood her ground when she felt her children had been wronged, even getting a kindergarten teacher fired. She strived to rise above the hardships of her own upbringing and succeeded in creating a better life for her family and breaking cycles. Even during her illness, she thought more of others than of herself. When asked how she was doing, her reply was always a gentle “I’m good” or “I’m okay,” even when she was hurting.

She gave her children the freedom to find their own way, while always being there to guide them back when they strayed. Her love was steady, her patience unshakable, and her sacrifices countless. She was proud of her children, and in turn, they are proud and grateful to call her their mother.

Victoria also shared her life with her husband, Charles, whom she loved deeply. Their partnership was marked not only by devotion but also by laughter. Victoria had a unique ability to poke fun and offer lighthearted critiques that made everyone around her smile. She had a gift for honesty that was never harsh, but always real—delivered with humor, warmth, and that unmistakable sparkle in her eye.

Her life was not without challenges, but she met them with courage and grace. Her legacy is one of love, perseverance, and devotion.

She is survived by her husband Charles, her combined family of 7 children and reunited with one other in heaven, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Victoria’s life will be held September 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.at David C. Cooks, 4050 Lee Vance Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, where family and friends will gather to honor the extraordinary woman she was.
