Jacob is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado Springs, offering active, goal-oriented therapy for teens, families, and adults. His work focuses on helping clients navigate challenges related to trauma, depression, anxiety, and addiction. I primarily use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), play therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on emotional regulation, neurodivergent needs, skill-building, and developing healthy coping skills.
Jacob strives to help clients reach their full potential while gaining self awareness and understanding. He believes each client is unique, and treatment should be individualized to match their strengths and needs. He is especially passionate about helping individuals build stability, confidence, and direction during lifeâs journey. Jacob's therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and down-to-earth.
Prior to working at Willowâs Counseling, Jacob provided care in inpatient psychiatric settings in both Tennessee and Colorado, supporting individuals experiencing complex concerns such as psychosis, mania, and co-occurring disorders. These experiences reinforced the importance of balancing genuine empathy with evidence-based clinical practice. He also has experience playing college baseball, and interests related to sports, art, the outdoors, and music.
Jacob earned a Master of Science in Counseling from Milligan University, specializing in Clinical Mental Health and Addictions Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from East Tennessee State University.
