💜 Pretty in Purple for a Powerful Cause 💜

Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care is proud to host a Purse & Jewelry Fundraiser in support of the Alzheimer’s Association, in partnership with Brookdale Skyline and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
On February 4th, we’re coming together for an afternoon filled with connection, purpose, and some truly beautiful bags and jewelry — all while supporting an incredibly meaningful cause.
This special event is being promoted with so much heart by our amazing team, and we’re grateful to be part of a community that shows up to make a difference. Every conversation, every purchase, and every shared moment helps support individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s.

Honoring Heroes Through Creativity 💜

Colorado Palliative & Hospice Care is proud to share a beautiful preparation for The Palisades at Broadmoor Park’s Festival of Wreaths on December 5th from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM!

Tina Gauvin, one of our incredible Colorado sales team members, has poured her heart into creating a special contribution for the event — she hand-knitted every piece on her wreath. 🧶💜

Her creativity and care have turned her wreath into something truly meaningful, a small act crafted with love and purpose.

This special event supports Angels of America’s Fallen, an organization dedicated to helping children who have lost a parent who served our country. We are honored that our wreath will contribute to such an important mission.

A huge thank-you to Marie and the wonderful team at The Palisades at Broadmoor Park for hosting this meaningful community event — we can’t wait to be part of something that brings comfort, creativity, and connection together.

Myth: Hospice is only provided in the home.

Fact: Hospice is a service, not a place. Care is provided wherever you live: home, assisted living, nursing home, or a family member’s house.

Myth: Hospice patients must change their doctor.

Fact: Your primary physician works alongside the hospice team, so you continue care with the doctor you trust. Plus, a hospice physician is available to support your care every step of the way.

Your trusted doctor stays part of your care. Myth busted!

Myth: You must be homebound to receive hospice.

Fact: Hospice encourages patients to stay active and enjoy life. Our expert team helps patients and families achieve personal goals—as much as possible.

Living well at the end of life is the goal. Myth busted!

💀 Myth buster of the week! Some think hospice care costs a fortune—but here’s the truth:

Myth: Hospice care is expensive.

Fact: Hospice care is 100% covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance. Financial support may also be available for those with limited resources.

Quality end-of-life care should be accessible for all. Myth busted!

🎃 This October, we’re celebrating Halloween by busting common hospice myths! Every week, we’ll tackle a myth and share the truth behind hospice care.

Myth: Hospice is only for people with cancer.
Fact: Less than half of hospice admissions are for cancer, and cancer accounts for under 25% of U.S. deaths. Hospice also supports people with Alzheimer’s, ALS, heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease, stroke, AIDS, and more.
