Before I became a professional Ayurvedic bodyworker, the first several years of my personal Ayurveda practice was only my AM abhyanga routine.

A simple, 4 oz. blue glass bottle with a pump that I warmed up in a coffee cup and hot water from my tea kettle. Now 20 years later, that set up looks like a copper dish set over an open tea candle flame.

It was (and remains) the single, most powerful practice for me to keep my stamina and strength. It keeps my sanity too. 😆

Frameworks aren’t restrictive—they’re what make skill reliable. There’s a difference between intuition and untrained guessing. One is earned.

Not every Abhyanga should be done the exact same way. Ayurveda has a clinical context, not just a destination spa one.

Honored to be highlighted 💕🙏🏼

Ayurveda classifies all healing into three approaches. Manual therapists are typically trained in Yukti (technique and protocol) — but the most effective clinical outcomes come from knowing when and how to deploy all three.

Most practitioners limit their impact with how they document.

Start writing in both languages.

Not every note—but when you see a pattern, track it:

“Client presents with manda agni: slow tissue response, cool extremities, poor session recovery.”

Alongside: “Client reports fatigue, brain fog, irregular digestion.”

Write both.

This isn’t just about Ayurveda. It’s how any cross-disciplinary work earns respect.

Over time, you build real clinical bilingualism—not just intellectual understanding. And your notes become legible to providers outside your field.

That’s how collaboration actually happens. 🤝

That’s how your work gets taken seriously.📈

Build the bridge in your paperwork. ✍️
