Courage is walking in faith. Moving into belief and holding onto hope even when the tangibility of our desires lies on the other side of the precipice.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s feeling all of the fears and doubts and choosing to move regardless.

Courage is the action of growth. Courage is what connects us to being stretched. Courage is lonely as it comes from the vision of the heart…which means only you can see it, and only you can choose to move. Others may not see or understand. Many will condemn you for it. Courage is for those who listen and believe in their heart.

Courage says, “Instead of finding the path, I will blaze a trail and leave it for others to follow.”

That’s more than 98% of influencers have even been alive. I’ve been around long enough to see it all. What is now being touted as revolutionary we were doing back in the last century. Before the internet.

You can make excuses, or you can choose to get started.

It doesn’t matter where you are in life, your past doesn’t define you. You get to choose. If you decide to get going, follow a sound plan, make changes, when you reach you or goals that’s now who you are.

I used to be fat when I was younger. So what. I changed. That’s not who I am. I’m now fit. There’s other things I didn’t want to be anymore so I changed. I’m still changing. A year from now, who I am right now isn’t who I will be. But that’s because I’ve not only decided, but I’m taking action to change.

You can too.

Sometimes you just need the right person next to you to believe and to show you the way.

Hope you all took time today to experience the beauty around you and reflect on what all we truly have.

One of my mentors believed the main command in scripture that is broken isn’t one of the 10 commandments. But rather the command from God to “Be still and know that I am God.”

How many of us struggle with being still? How many want to hear the voice of God or desire to feel His presence but won’t take a single moment out of your day to just Be Still?

If you take the time to pause, thank God for all the goodness that still surrounds us, you’ll be surprised at how God meets you in that place.

God doesn’t shout from the rooftops. He’s not overbearing. He’s patient. He comes in the wind and with a soft whisper. Be still and know that He is God.

The amount of heart, fears, aspirations, knowledge, wisdom and life shared in my various offices over the years could write countless volumes of books.

I’m so grateful to have another office set apart from the rest and a gym to explore these insights and relationships.

I’ve seen more people come to know God in the walls of my offices than by bringing people to church. Because in church, everyone acts like they have their life together. But in the gym, people come as themselves. No pretense. They come with their pain, their goals and desires, their struggles and their hopes. It is in this environment you can really get to the heart of a person and speak directly with them.

Jesus didn’t hang out at churches…he went to where the people are and fed them when they were hungry, healed them when they were hurting, and gave them hope and a future.

Training and healing for me is more than a career. It is a calling.

This is my church.

I love my actual church community and desperately need that too. But we all need to find our personal churches where we can connect with others at a deeper level.
