Cheyenne Village

We support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to lead happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Cheyenne Village provides 24/7 comprehensive services for adults with developmental disabilities and goes above and beyond what Medicaid and government funding provides. In addition, Cheyenne Village offers supported living services to individuals who have the ability to live somewhat independently or who have family members who are the primary caregiver. Examples of the types of services provided are: healthcare assistance, financial management, and benefits coordination.

The theater doors opened... and a galaxy of fun followed. Cheyenne Village adventurers had a great time seeing Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu, reminding us that open doors lead to connection, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Amanda and Mike are ready for summer sunshine! ☀️ Staff noticed how much they enjoyed spending time outside on their front step, and thanks to a grant, they now have a new outdoor table and chairs to relax in comfort together. Wishing everyone a beautiful and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Opening doors means creating opportunities for adventure, connection, and joy. 🌄 Our SCC group from Cheyenne Village spent the day exploring the breathtaking Royal Gorge, taking in Colorado’s beauty and making memories together. Every outing is another door opened to community, confidence, and new experiences.

Our adults loved the treats and enjoyed spending time with the visitors. Pearl to Pearl...thank you for your kindness, support and for making today extra special! Cheyenne Village’s Leadership Team was excited to join the community-wide CityServe Day hosted by COSILoveYou. We had a wonderful time creating colorful posters for Make-A-Wish, helping to add extra excitement, joy, and celebration for wish recipients on their special day. It was an honor to serve alongside others in our community and be part of something that brings smiles, hope, and a little extra magic. ✨💙

The "Coffee with the CEO" event couldn't have been more inspiring! Ian shared his journey full of self-advocacy while Kate explained that he will thrive in a life of his own choosing. At the table, Colleen and Annie enjoyed celebrating the true heart of our mission...the individuals we serve!

This week we say "Happy Retirement" to Georgeann who has served adults with IDD since 1989. From a group home setting in Illinois to Special Olympics coaching & directing to 10 years as a direct service provider with Cheyenne Village...Georgeann is now looking forward to slowing down, sleeping in a little later and taking some day trips to explore Colorado. Thank you for your commitment to opening doors to opportunity and belonging. Congratulations! Enjoy!

Independence is built one step at a time.

With support from Cheyenne Village, one individual moved from a host home to shared living, and now into his own apartment. Along the way, he’s learned to manage daily life, work part time, and build a routine that reflects his goals.

Hardworking and focused, he’s living life on his own terms and enjoying the things he loves, like video games!

This is what independence can look like.
