We're putting a spotlight on Dr. Ky Kobayashi this week. Dr. Kobayashi is a board certified, fellowship trained hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and quality of life. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Dr. Kobayashi served 20 years as an Air Force orthopedic surgeon, gaining extensive experience in complex surgical care and leadership before transitioning to civilian practice here in Colorado Springs. His advanced training includes Certificates of Added Qualification in both Surgery of the Hand and Sports Medicine, allowing him to treat a wide range of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kobayashi enjoys staying active and can often be found playing pickleball, so keep an eye out for him on the courts around Colorado Springs.

We asked our orthopedic providers what they would keep their kids away from to avoid an unexpected visit to the clinic.
Top offenders? Trampolines, motorcycles, scooters and anything that involves a ramp + “Watch this!”

But hey — if your kiddos DO launch themselves into something questionable, don’t worry. We’re experts at fixing bumps, bruises, and broken. We’re even here if it becomes chronic.

Movement is medicine. 🧘One of our very own physician assistants, Miyoko Green, is also a certified yoga instructor and is offering FREE yoga classes for OCC patients and staff. These sessions are designed to support mobility, strength, balance, and recovery — whether you’re rehabbing an injury, managing pain, or simply looking to move better. Classes will be offered on various Saturdays, with the next one scheduled for January 31st.
