Well well well, look what today is! A cool fact about World Giraffe Day is that it's celebrated on June 21st each year, coinciding with the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the conservation and protection of giraffes, which are the world's tallest land animals.

Fun giraffe fact Friday! A fascinating fact about giraffes is that they have a unique way of communicating. They often communicate through infrasound, which is sound at a frequency too low for human ears to detect. Giraffes produce these low-frequency sounds through their vocal cords and then amplify them through their long necks. This form of communication allows them to communicate over long distances and potentially coordinate with other members of their herd.

The girls had a gymnastics competition in Windsor, so we had to stop at Buc-ees on our way. I know it’s not giraffe print…but it’s close!

I got a new giraffe! Just in time for a fun giraffe fact Friday! Giraffes have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as humans do - seven!

And!! I will be out of the office from April 6-11. I still have times available next week if you’d like to come in before I leave, or get scheduled on the 12th, which is filling up!

No-Show Policy
At Active Wellness Chiropractic, I am committed to providing all of my patients with exceptional care. When a patient cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another patient from being seen. To ensure effective patient care and optimal use of my appointment times, I have implemented the following policy regarding no-shows.
Policy:
1. Notification: I require a notice of at least 24 hours to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
2. No-Shows: A “no-show” is a patient who misses an appointment without canceling it. A no-show will incur a fee of $25.
3. Exceptions: I understand that emergencies and unforeseen circumstances can occur. Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis, especially for emergencies, weather or serious personal issues.

Hello patients and friends! I am writing to inform you about an upcoming change in my fee structure, effective January 1st, 2024.

Due to the ongoing impact of inflation and rising operational costs, it has become necessary to adjust my fees to ensure that I can continue providing you with the highest quality care. After careful consideration, I have decided to implement a nominal fee increase of $5 for my services.

I want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly, and I remain committed to delivering the best possible chiropractic experience for my valued patients.
