The wait is over!

Today, .w and take the ice soon in Milan, and the entire CISM Physical Therapy family is cheering at the top of our lungs! 🗣️🙌

Legendary Grit meets Modern Science 🎿

We’re all watching Lindsey Vonn redefine what’s possible by competing with a torn ACL! While it looks like magic, it’s actually elite-level biomechanics at work.

In the PT world, we classify patients as "Copers" vs. "Non-Copers."

* Copers (like Vonn!) have such incredible lower extremity strength and proprioception that they can stay stable even without a functional ACL.

* Non-Copers often feel instability and typically elect for surgery to ensure a safe return to sport.

Think surgery is the only way? Not anymore! Emerging data shows that with the right cross-bracing protocol and conservative care, some ACL tears actually have the potential to reattach and heal on their own.

CISM enjoyed taking care of 2000 runners today at the Cougar Classic, hosted by Coronado Highschool, a big annual cross country meet at Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs.

We were fortunate to have eight great volunteers from the Master’s Athletic Training program at UCCS, who helped ensure this meet went so smoothly! A huge shout out and thank you to those who volunteered today!
