Introducing SKSF's NEW Virtually Possible program! As a part of the Speaker's Bureau's focus on mental health, the adult participants in the Special Conversations program had a unique mental health experience this past week by learning a new grounding technique. These techniques can be used to help clients calm down when feelings get too big or too hard to handle. Using our virtual reality set, clients were able to immerse themselves in beautiful nature settings like beaches & fields of flowers.

Pairing virtual reality with nature works as a grounding technique because it engages the senses, focuses the attention on the present moment, & can trigger relaxation responses like slower breathing & a calmer mind, that one would typically experience in nature.
