Calling all volunteers! A local construction company has generously donated the materials and labor for a much-needed paint and flooring update to the Clinic! We need help moving things out and back in once the renovation is complete.
If you’re able to help with the move-out on May 28 or 29, or the move-in on June 5 or 6, please reach out to Samara at volunteeroffice@dreamcenters.com.

We are excited to help bridge the gap by raising funds to support the free mental health services NAMI Colorado Springs provides. That means we need your help! Any donation is accepted and appreciated on behalf of our EWCS team. If you want to help make a difference, use our link to donate:

Have you ever left a therapy session thinking, we were just getting into it… and now time is up?

Traditional weekly therapy can be incredibly helpful—but sometimes healing needs more space, more time, and more momentum.

That’s why I wrote this blog on why therapy intensives can be such a powerful option, especially for trauma healing, anxiety, and feeling stuck in old patterns.

Intensives allow you to step away from daily stressors and focus deeply on your healing in a way that weekly sessions sometimes can’t.

I also share details about the immersive Trauma & EMDR Intensives I’ll be offering in Colorado, Florida, and Utah.

If you’ve been craving deeper healing and real movement forward, this may be for you.

Feeling stuck in weekly therapy? Learn how trauma and EMDR intensives can help you heal deeply and create lasting change.

Every child with autism is different, and that’s okay.

Some kids need a little support.
Some need more.
Some need a lot.

The 3 levels of autism simply help us understand how much support a child may need, not who they are or what they can become. As a parent, you’re learning, adjusting, and showing up every single day. That matters more than anything.

You don’t have to figure it out alone; we’re here for you.

Many autistic adults grew up never knowing they were autistic.

Not because the signs weren’t there, but because they were misunderstood.

For many, those childhood “quirks” were actually early indicators of autism that were mislabeled as personality traits or behavioural issues.

Common missed signs of autism in childhood include:
🎈 Oversharing or info-dumping about special interests
🎈 Being called “bossy” or “controlling” when trying to create structure
🎈 Being “picky” with foods, clothing, or routines (often due to sensory sensitivities)
🎈 Big emotional reactions to rejection or unexpected changes
🎈 Being bullied, excluded, or told you were “too much”
🎈 Feeling different but masking to fit in
🎈 Perfectionism or overachievement to feel accepted
🎈 Social exhaustion after spending time with others

These aren’t signs of weakness. They’re signs of a different neurotype.

Many people, especially women, AFAB, and BIPOC individuals, were overlooked due to outdated stereotypes about what autism “looks like.”

At Blue Sky Learning, our neurodiversity-affirming therapists and coaches help clients unlearn old narratives, explore self-understanding, and develop tools for authentic living and self-compassion.

You deserve to understand yourself fully and to thrive as you are.
