Happy Thanksgiving!!! Our littles were super excited for the “turkey race” and our bigs are so fun choosing to dress up for a 5K with us. Feeling extra thankful for good health (more to come on that) and these cute turkeys! 🦃

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday with people you love! We’re looking forward to spend ours at home with one of our favorite families. 🎉

Halloween running costumes over the years! Some have been pretty simple (wear black & add a witch hat), and others have required hours of crafting. All the same fun at the end of the day!! Goodness knows I live for a good ol’ Halloween 5K. 😂🎃🎉

What are you wearing for Halloween races this year??

My lineup:
-Taylor & Travis, TTPD Era’s Tour Edition (that dress took hours)
-Rumi & Jinu (SO much work 😂)
-Quidditch Harry Potter & the Golden Snitch (2015?)
-Barbies with my Utah girls!
-Filming a Halloween 5K with (8 days post-IVF egg retrieval with mild OHSS — you never know what’s going on in someone’s life, right?)
-Taylor & Travis, early Tayvis era
-Cakes with Kindal! One of my faves 😂
-Witches when Kindal was pregnant with baby # 1
-Sharks with Kindal at the SeaWorld Halloween 5K
-Throwback Minions with Kindal (2016!)
-2017 Ghosts with Kindal
-Last-minute monsters with Heather when my twins were a couple months old

Most unique Medal Monday ever?! Showing off the Chicago Marathon medal from the ledge of the 103rd floor at the Willis Tower! What a gorgeous sunset to top off an amazing day. 🤩

And tip for future Chicago Marathon runners: Skydeck gives a free printed photo to all marathoners if you show them your medal. 👌

Those “We just crossed the Chicago Marathon finish line” feels!!! So fresh we didn’t even have our medals yet.

I was extra proud right then because I had tried to not put pressure on pacing all day — but with a 5K left, I told Charlie we were either going to negative split by 30 seconds or positive split by a few seconds. “So let’s lock in and do the former.” The lingering fatigue from back-to-back big races is very real at that late stage especially, so it takes a gritty runner to push through & make that happen! Proud friend, proud coach.

A day later and we’re still riding that 26.2-mile party high!!! 🤗

OMG, I must have said “This is so fun!” at least 100 times during the Chicago Marathon today!!! Needless to say, I *love...

OMG, I must have said “This is so fun!” at least 100 times during the Chicago Marathon today!!! Needless to say, I *loved* it! Literally danced to Life of a Showgirl, high-fived kids & cops, and pet dogs for 26.2 miles. 😍

The plan was always to run the whole thing with ! And unbeknownst to Charlie (didn’t want to stress her out, haha), *my* plan was also to pace her to beat her Sydney Marathon time from 5 weeks ago. Check and check! We ran a 3:53:13 — 6 minutes faster than Sydney — with a negative split to boot! And obviously had a blast. Can’t wait to share all the shaky party race videos. 😂

But first, we celebrate! 🎉🎉🎉

What a fun, whirlwind weekend in the Windy City with ! We’ve packed our days with marathon events, meeting so many incredible people. The race hasn’t even started yet and I’m already inspired!

Good luck to all of our fellow Chicago Marathon runners out there! Absolutely cannot wait to party through 26.2 miles of this iconic city in the morning!!! 🎉🎉🎉
