None of our neighbors in Southern Colorado should go hungry. Join us and Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado in providing nutritious food to neighbors in need!
Most needed items include:
- Peanut butter
- Canned protein (like tuna or chicken)
- Packaged meals (such as Hamburger Helper)
- Pre-packaged snacks

You can drop off food donations at our Colorado Springs office now through November 24th. Thank you!

The holidays can be hard and stressful on everyone, especially a family with a special needs child. Here are a few tips to help avoid a few challenges. What are some of your tips? Share them below!
1️⃣ If you’re going to someone else’s house, bring along a comfort item or something you know makes you child happy and calms them down.
2️⃣ Don’t force social interactions and try to remind family members to do the same.
3️⃣ Thanksgiving dinner might have a lot of foods your child hasn’t tried or doesn’t like. Bring along something you know they’ll enjoy and eat so they can feel like they’re a part of the family meal.
4️⃣ Ask the host if there is a quiet room where your child can escape to if things get too overwhelming. If not, go for a quick walk around the block.
5️⃣ Don’t beat yourself up if you need to leave early. The most important thing to remember is that you all tried and you’ll keep trying
