Good morning and Happy New Year!

A reminder of my upcoming grief groups beginning the week of January 24th. All groups are 6-7 pm and $40/night. I do offer pro bono slots so if you have Medicaid or are in financial need, still please reach out.

Monday nights is the general grief group for any type of death loss and any age client (currently this group is primarily spouse deaths; however, there are some parent and sibling death, too). There are 2 spots left in this group.

Tuesday night is my bereaved parents group for any child death loss age 2+. This group still has 4 spots open and I would love to reach as many parents for this as I can!

Wednesday night is for young adults (18-30) and there are 3 spots left in this group. This is primarily parent deaths but, of course, any relationship is welcome.

My website has more information on the groups as well as the interest for that can be filled out!

This thought is on my heart today. Ambiguous grief can occur when we had a complicated relationship with the person who died. This often brings feelings of anger, guilt, and resentment for what was done and said in the relationship. The death also signals the end of any chance of reconciliation. We often find ourselves in the narrative that grief is pain from losing someone we loved dearly and, while this is often true, it is also true that grief is a myriad of emotions and not all of them are as uncomplicated as: "I loved this person, we had a wonderful and special relationship, and now I grieve their absence." So this message is for anyone suffering a death that brings complex or ambivalent emotions. You are allowed to feel all of the emotions you have, your experience and grief are valid and seen. Sending healing and light to you.
