Brown, Master of Science in Education of Kinesiology, Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN, ACSM CPT Blake has been passionate about learning how to achieve an optimal level of health and wellness, based in science and research, his entire life. He earned a Master of Science degree in Education of Kinesiology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Dietetics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale during his early 20's. He has also spent a considerable amount of time taking additional courses in the study of both athletic training and chiropractic medicine at the collegiate level. Blake has been a group fitness instructor for 12 years and holds multiple group fitness certifications, and has been an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer since 2011. Blake's most recent academic achievement was studying and gradating from Goldfarb Barnes Jewish Hospital College of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then passing the NCLEX earning him the title, license, and medical respect of Registered Nurse. While working for the Kinesiology department during graduate school teaching exercise science and nutrition/wellness classes, he trained a diverse amount of clients with varying abilities, aliments, and goals at the student recreation center and throughout the community while conducting original research and attending his graduate classes. Upon graduation he moved to Nashville TN and continued to teach group fitness classes and build his personal training business in and around the city. During this time he honed and developed his personal training skills and knowledge while working in and being exposed to the private sector of the fitness industry while working with and meeting a diverse population of other fitness professionals with various strengths and specialties in a variety of settings he readily learned everything he could from.
