Patients, please take this short survey to help our state association with legislative efforts to improve access to physical therapy in Colorado. At Rezac PT, we have been very active with advocacy for legislative efforts for our patients and our profession. What politicians really listen to is the public. Please take a minute to help us help you.
From Colorado APTA:
APTA Colorado intends to introduce legislation to lessen the negative impact that insurance carriers and their 3rd party intermediaries have on you, your patients and your employers. We need to hear from your patients to show legislators that we have a problem with utilization management and prior authorization to justify our legislative recommendations.
Please ask your patients with private insurance or Medicaid to complete the below 1-2 minute survey to help our profession fight back against insurance carrier overreach.
Turn data collection into an experience with Typeform. Create beautiful online forms, surveys, quizzes, and so much more. Try it for FREE.
Interested in joining our team? We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion to learn and grow in the field.
For more information please check out our LinkedIn or APTA listing.
Will! We are so proud of you and how far you’ve come. Thank you for letting us be a part of your journey.
"I have had Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years and have met many competent therapists. I have never been as impressed as I am with Valerie Morse at Rezac PT! She is caring, accepting, highly knowledgeable, and, depending on my day, willing to change her plan to match my ability. I would highly recommend Rezac PT to anyone who needs physical therapy!"
It is our distinct honor to highlight this treasure of a human and celebrate your journey. We have been so blessed by your spirit and your relentless drive to never give up.
Happy International Women’s day🌸 We are so lucky to have such a strong wonderful team here at Rezac PT, but we wanted to highlight our co-owner and founder Dyanna Hayley-Rezac! Thank you for continuing to inspire and encourage other strong women.

You may be asking yourself what PTSD has to do with physical therapy? The short answer is everything. As an integral part of a multi-disciplinary approach to healthcare, physical therapists work with other practitioners to help supplement the care of PTSD and PTS. The effects of physical therapy on the brain can help support many of the influential factors related to these issues. It promotes many changes in the brain, including neural growth, reduced inflammation, and new activity patterns that provide feelings of calm and well-being. Exercise has been showing as one of the most effective ways to manage stress and anxiety in individuals. Regardless of what someone is going through, becoming part of a regular exercise program that is coordinated and driven by a Doctor of Physical Therapy can help release chemicals in the body that can help reduce anxiety, stress, and other PTSD related symptoms . . Talk with your health care provider about treatment options, and follow your treatment plan. Engage in exercise, mindfulness, or other activities that help reduce stress. Try to maintain routines for meals, exercise, and sleep. Set realistic goals and do what you can as you are able. Spend time with trusted friends or relatives, and tell them about things that may trigger symptoms. Expect your symptoms to improve gradually, not immediately. . . If you, or anyone you know, is experiencing symptoms related to PTSD or PST, know that you’re not alone and that it is not abnormal. Whether it is from a highly traumatic event or a smaller event, it takes a team of individuals that care about your wellbeing and are trained in multiple techniques to support the body and mind. To schedule a session with a therapist to learn more about some techniques to support your body and mind contact us. . Want to know more? Schedule an appointment with us today! Link in Bio. . Other symptoms include: Re-experiencing symptoms Avoidance — actively avoiding any thoughts, places or potential triggers related to the trauma Difficulty sleeping or concentrating Feeling irritable and having outbursts Loss of interest in previous activities Panic disorder Depression Substance use Suicidal thoughts Claustrophobia . . . A traumatic event is one that usually elicits a response of overwhelming fear, helplessness. horror, and sometimes shock. Initial reactions to trauma can include exhaustion, sadness, anxiety, agitation, numbness, dissociation, and confusion. These are normal reactions to trauma and most people recover. However, there are some, who go on to experience ongoing symptoms, and about 5-10% of individuals will develop PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). These are the symptoms of stress that are normative immediately following traumatic event but then persist long after the threat has been removed. . . . Follow out next posts to learn more . . .
