Since I posted last we’ve traveled across the country, settled into our new home, have gotten too familiar with our local childrens hospital, started school, hit many milestones and more. Although I am still not ready to accept clients at this time I am wanting to begin to step back into birth work. Hey 👋🏽 friends! It’s been super quiet over here and will likely continue to be over the next several months because…we’re MOVING to CO🗻. In November we added another 👶🏼 to our family. Now we’re a family of ✋🏽☝🏽 and we’re continuing to navigate it each and every day.

All this to say our plates are full and as exciting as that is it’s also very exhausting. I hope to continue this page to help bring education, laughter and real life stories about pregnancy, birth, postpartum, TTC and family life🤰🏽👶🏼🤱🏻👨‍👩‍👧‍👦.

At this time I am not accepting in-person or virtual clients however, if you ever have questions or want to share stories I’d love to hear from you.

I already feel the flood of emotion for the Hearts Release this October.
If you have experienced infant and pregnancy loss,
and would like to share the names of your beloved babies' names with me,
I will handwrite the names of your babies onto a teeny, degradable paper heart that later can grow into flowers.

It’s been quiet over here which proves just how terrible I am at social media!

…but, we have some news to share. We are growing our family🤰🏼. Baby #4 is due in December!

After a very hectic spring and summer I’ve decided to take a pause on accepting clients to prep for baby starting mid fall.

So if your due end of summer—-> early fall and are looking for pregnancy, birth, and/or postpartum support or to have your placenta encapsulated send a message my way today!

"What it feels like to have HG?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kinda feels like you’re trapped on a boat with severe seasickness in a really big storm and you if you’re lucky like me you can’t get off for 9 months. While you’re on that boat you have to still look after your other kids, clean, cook, try to nourish and hydrate yourself enough to survive, work and you cannot escape.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Somedays it feels like you’re trapped on that boat with seasickness, gastro and a hangover all at once. You can’t even stand the feeling of your own saliva in your mouth or let water touch your lips.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some days the multiple sea sickness medication you try takes the edge off enough to stop you actually vomiting for a while but you’re still swaying and being swallowed whole by the nausea because the medication doesn’t actually take away the nausea ever.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some days the storm stops and you can see the sunshine and clear sky for a while but once again the storm comes back fiercer than ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

5 weeks until I can get off this boat and I can feel the relief! Bring it on 🙌🏾⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1 in 8 women have infertility.
1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage/loss.
8% of pregnancies are high risk where a mother and/or her baby's life is in danger through the course of her pregnancy.
26,000 babies every year are born without life.

Pregnancy is not a joke, so don't use it as one on April 1st.

♦️Let’s talk about 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕤!

♦️Your baby’s 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕤 provide a signal that initiates labor. It has been found that proteins inside the fetus’ 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕤 active genes which in turn triggers labor to begin. Labor begins when these proteins are released indicating that normal breathing outside of the womb can be established. These signaling proteins also help immune cells fight off infection in both children and adults.

♦️One of the key developments inside a mother’s womb is fetal 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘 growth. Every day inside the womb is fundamental to 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘 development so although those last few weeks may seem trying and exhausting let those babies 𝕝𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕤 grow, grow, grow (unless medically necessary)!
