In Hawaiian Maluhia means several different things: peace, serenity, calm, at ease, safety, security, and tranquility.
I was born and raised in Hawaii so when I fell in love with birth work in Colorado and decided to start my own business I knew I wanted the name of my new business to be a reminder of my roots while also having a deeper meaning. As most words in Hawaiian maluhia has many meanings and this one simple word embodies everything that I try to be and provide as a doula.
