We had the sweetest afternoon celebrating Hope Root from our Patient Services team with a baby shower at HQ 🌷🩷🎀

Hope spends her days caring for our patients and making sure every patient who walks through our doors feels supported and welcomed. It was so special to gather together and celebrate her as she prepares to welcome a little one of her own.

Are your hands very dry this winter?

Cold air and frequent hand washing can strip your skin barrier fast. Here’s what to do:

• Use thick, oil-based creams not thin lotions with ingredients like glycerin or shea butter
• Moisturize within 30 seconds of washing while your hands are still slightly damp
• Switch to gentle, fragrance-free soaps
• Wash with lukewarm water not hot
• Wear gloves outside and when doing dishes
• At night, apply a thick ointment like Aquaphor or petroleum jelly and cover with cotton gloves for deep repair

Your hands deserve the same care as your face 🤍

Dr. Chung quipped, "When my wife and CEO says 'jump,' it's a good idea to jump. Even if it’s a traditional bamboo dance in Vietnam."

We specialize in the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, and we also take care of the full range of dermatology and plastic surgery conditions. Our multi-specialist team includes dermatology, plastic surgery, Mohs surgery, and dermatopathology physicians.

Vanguard Skin Specialists was founded in the summer of 2009. Dr. Vinh Chung and his wife, Leisle, began the practice with a vision to make it the center of excellence in Colorado for the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer. The goal: provide the standard of care found in a major medical center, but in an environment that is accessible, warm, and welcoming to patients. Over time, Vanguard Skin Specialists has grown with additional medical providers and staff members who also believe in Vanguard’s operating principles and values. It’s Vanguard’s people and values that set us apart.

From taking care of underserved populations to sponsoring projects locally and around the world, Vanguard strives to make a positive impact on patients, community, and the world at large.
