This is FIVE...at 5 AM 🤣 Our little Ryleigh Pooh is FIVE, and she did not appreciate my shenanigans at 5 this morning!! Happy birthday sweet girl! If you are stopping by today, make sure to give her some extra love. She is is fresh, clean, and oh so soft...she also did not appreciate that, but c'est la vie! We love you sweet girl ❤️

In numerology, 2025 is considered a 9 Universal Year (2+0+2+5 = 9), representing completion, wisdom, transformation, and letting go of what no longer serves us. Nine years of practice falling on a 9 Universal year seems a little kismet, don't ya think?

It has been nine years of laughs, tears, stories, healing, and walking alongside you beautiful people. This journey has tested me, humbled me, and filled my heart in ways I never imagined.

A 9 Universal Year asks us to stand in our purpose and release anything that blocks our growth. So here’s to nine years of practice on a 9 Year! Here's to a year of closing chapters with grace, honoring the journey, and stepping into the next phase with clarity and love. Thank you for being a part of this wild, beautiful ride. May I have your attention, please! The G triplets have entered the building... well, technically, they entered the building three weeks ago, and boy, have they given us a run for our money! Miss Lailani decided at 30 weeks and 3 days that she was leaving the womb, and her sisters could join her or continue baking! She is the sassiest of them all, but the personalities of these three continue to amaze me. It has been such an honor to be part of this journey from the beginning. All parties are doing well, but all parties (parents included) will be living in the NICU until these young ladies put on some weight. Congratulations to the parents! Ya'll did it!

Happy birthday to this guy! To the guy that always puts his hat on my head when it's raining, so my hair doesn't frizz. To the guy that becomes every dog's best friend. To the guy who always ends up playing with kids at a gathering rather than conversing with adults. To the guy who believes in me more than I believe in myself. Be still my heart 😍 Let me tell you about this little cutie! She ended up on my table at 18 days old, and now she is a two year old chiropractor in training ❤️ When her mama opened the door yesterday and she saw me, had the biggest smile on her face, and started clapping. She always shows me downstairs and where to go, helps me set up my table, and then she hops on face down!

When her older brothers get on the table, she "adjusts" them and then tries to push them off so she can get back on 🤣 She just makes my little heart explode. She's a well-adjusted girl who will hopefully become a well-adjusted woman.

To all my parents who trust me with their babies, just know how much I appreciate you because there is no bigger honor.

Hey there, lovelies! Today on 'Ovaries and Outbursts,' we're diving into a topic that touches so many of us: fibroids! These little uterine houseguests can sometimes cause a bit of a ruckus, from turning our periods into a heavy metal concert to just making us feel...well, full, shall we say? 😉

But here's a fun fact: Up to 80% of us might have fibroids by the time we hit 50! Seriously! It's like our uteruses are secretly hosting a tiny, silent convention most of us didn't even RSVP for. Wild, right?

Now, here's something really important to know: fibroids disproportionately affect Black women, who are more likely to develop them, often at a younger age, and experience more significant symptoms. This reality underscores the vital need for us all to be informed, advocate for our health, and demand equitable care.

So, as you absorb this info, remember that understanding your body and being your own best advocate is key. Don't hesitate to ask questions, seek second opinions, and push for the care you deserve. ✨💖

Let's talk about something not everyone may be familiar with: autonomic storms. For many neurodivergent individuals, the autonomic nervous system can sometimes experience a sudden and intense surge of activity. This isn't a tantrum or a meltdown, but a physiological response where the body's "fight or flight" goes into overdrive, leading to symptoms like rapid heart rate, sweating, dizziness, or overwhelming emotions. Recognizing this as an overwhelming bodily experience, rather than a deliberate act, can open the door to greater empathy and understanding. Let's strive to approach these moments with compassion and offer the support that's needed. 🧠💚

Happy April, lovelies! As we spring into the month of April, I just wanted to take a second and point out that it is Autism Acceptance Month, a move that recognizes the need to go beyond just awareness. And while "awareness" has had its time, there's a really important reason why the conversation has shifted to acceptance. Awareness is just knowing something exists. Acceptance is actually understanding, supporting, and valuing neurodiversity. It's about creating a world where autistic individuals are not just "seen" but truly included and celebrated for who they are. Let's make this month (and every month!) about genuine acceptance. ❤️

As we embrace Autism Acceptance this month, I'm drawn to the voices that have enriched my perspective. Y'ALL SPRING IS HERE! The sun is out (not in all places), the time has changed (again, not in all places), and baby this is when I thrive!!! Our Story

I’m Dr. Laketia Johnson, and I am a chiropractor that makes house calls. I have a bachelor’s in psychology from Northern Arizona University (go Lumberjacks!) and a doctorate of chiropractic from Life University. I am the youngest of three, the daughter of an Army veteran, and on a mission to serve those who serve us.
