💛 From the Heart of the Hive: Build Your Own Buzz
This one’s been sitting heavy on my heart, and I feel it needs to be said. It might be an unpopular opinion — and that’s okay. We don’t all have to agree. But as someone who’s worked hard to grow this little hive from the ground up, I feel strongly about this:
We need to do better — for each other, for our businesses, and for our community.
Behind every event, every booth setup, every flyer, and every social post is a person who poured their everything into it. The late nights, the planning, the decorations, the invites, the stress. So when someone shows up and tries to ride on that effort, promote their own thing during someone else’s event, or — yes, let’s just say it — swipe an idea and call it their own... it hurts. And it’s rude.
🎪 Don’t Promote Your Event at Someone Else’s Event
If a business or group has invested time, money, and effort into creating something special — that’s their honeycomb. Respect it. Handing out flyers or pitching your own thing during another person’s event isn’t clever marketing. It’s tacky.
Instead, celebrate them! Congratulate the organizers. Snap a picture, share it on your page, and tag them with love. Their success doesn’t take away from yours — in fact, it makes our entire community stronger.
💡 Don’t Steal Ideas — Appreciate Them
See a fun event concept, booth setup, or theme? Amazing! Be inspired, don’t imitate. A simple “That’s such a great idea — I love what you did!” goes so much farther than quietly copying it later.
Originality and integrity are like pollen — the more we share them, the more everything grows.
🐝 Let’s Bee Better
We’re all working hard to get our names out there, to build connections, to make a difference. But true community means cheering each other on, not stepping on each other’s wings.
Let’s keep our hive kind, creative, and honest. When one of us shines, we all glow a little brighter. ✨
Because at the end of the day — success built on respect lasts a whole lot longer than anything built on someone else’s hard work. 💛
