Such a cool case by ! After testing we were able to rule out any involvement from adjacent teeth and got to work. Retx with decompression was performed, pt returned for a different tooth and we were able to grab a 6 year recall image 🤩 sometimes patience is really the key 💕

Extra root = Extra fun! 😄 DB canal was shaped at a 30v all others were finished at a 17v and laser was used to activate irrigants. CBCT really helped us out on this one!

Endo/resto case, we know this tooth will be reviving a crown soon but we still restore the tooth in a way that in case patient is unable to return to referring dentist right away our Endo and the tooth will be protected and healthy 💕

The value of a consult 🤓
“ #14 had been charged with pulp necrosis and chronic apical abscess as it is clearly at the scene of the crime. Sure looks like #14 radiographically, so I understand why this tooth was accused. BUT, cold test proved that the DB root of #14 is just in the wrong place at the wrong time, as the tooth is definitively and repeatably responding normally to vitality testing. The true guilty tooth is hiding in the shadows just behind. “ -

🦷 #30 N/AAP, all canals shaped to 20v and laser assisted irrigation, biomemetic restoration was placed.

✨This case is a great showcase of amazing teamwork by (who did the Endo) and (who did the restorative)! We are lucky to have an EDDA that specializes in biomemetic restorations and loves it 💕 It was a very long appointment but patient left happy and appreciative of our time and effort to safe his tooth from both Doc and Assistant !

When trying to use an Apex locator through a tiny metal access like this lower incisor, it can sometimes feel like playing a game of operation, where the file keeps growling out against the metal walls. One simple trick to insulate the file by wrapping with Teflon. Another little pearl from this case, is “visual gauging”. Inspecting the debris that is removed with the file at the Apex helps us to gauge the diameter, and to know when we’ve instruments efficiently. Here, we removed a silver point, and we were still removing heavily contaminated materials with this file, so we sized up. Have a great weekend everyone!
