Cohen Clinic Director Amy Moore proudly represented the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Red Rock at the GOAT Patch Brewery Veterans Day 5K this weekend.

As part of the event, the incredible organization 22 Too Many shared photos of veterans who lost their lives to su***de—reminding us that every step taken helps carry forward their memory and their story.

Amy ran in honor of her father and grandfather, both U.S. veterans, and in memory of LCpl Deandre Woodland, USMC, who tragically died by su***de. Carrying his photo was both humbling and powerful—a reminder that we can never stop talking about mental health in the veteran community.

Every day, 22 veterans die by su***de. That number is far too high. But there is hope, and there is help. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Red Rock, along with the entire Cohen Veterans Network, provides confidential, high-quality mental health care for veterans, service members, and their families—because no one who served should have to fight their battles alone.

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus provides culturally-competent, confidential, individually-tailored mental health care to post-9/11 veterans, National Guardsmen, Reservists, and their family members. This includes spouse or partner, children, parents, siblings, caregivers and others in the veteran’s immediate support system. Services are available regardless of discharge status, role while in uniform, or combat experience.

As part of the Cohen Veterans Network, our clinic specializes in evidence-based treatments and work with individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families of veterans who are affected by all phases of deployment and other life stressors.

We strive to be the clinic of choice for post-9/11 veterans and their families, focusing on whole mental health to include not only evidence-based treatments, but also prevention programs, education and training events, military-to-civilian transition assistance, peer support, family fun events, and other mindful awareness services.
