Resolution Tip: Identify your WHY.

A lot of times people experience stress in their life because they are behaving in ways that don’t align with their values. In order to experience greater overall satisfaction, first, identify what’s important to you. This provides direction, helping you make decisions and choose behaviors that move you towards the life you want to be living.

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Audra Tucker, LCSW (Lead Clinician) 🌟

We’re proud to highlight Audra Tucker, LCSW, our Lead Clinician at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Red Rock—and the compassion and dedication she brings to veterans, service members, and military families every day. 💙

âś… Why this career path?
Growing up around mental health challenges inspired Audra to help others and make a meaningful difference. After learning more about social work during her undergraduate studies, she pursued her Master’s in Social Work—and never looked back.

âś… Why this work matters:
With both lived experience and clinical training, Audra is committed to meeting clients where they are and ensuring they feel heard, supported, and understood. She recognizes that stigma around mental health care still exists—especially in the military community—and considers it an honor to create a safe space where clients can share, heal, and grow.

âś… Favorite part of the job:
“The best part is when a client tells me they trust me—or that I’ve helped them in some way. Trust is powerful, and it can be the first step toward believing in yourself and others again.”

âś… Why the Cohen Clinic at Red Rock?
Audra values the clinic’s mission and the community it serves, noting that the clinic fills an important gap for a population that can too often feel overlooked. She also appreciates the top-tier training that helps clinicians provide exceptional care and achieve strong outcomes.

âś… How the military shaped her:
As the daughter of a service member who served for 26 years, military life shaped who Audra is today—teaching her resilience, sacrifice, and the deep impact of service.

👏 Thank you, Audra, for the expertise, heart, and leadership you bring to this mission!

" Resolution Tip: Give yourself grace!

Set realistic expectations and recognize that you’re not going to nail it every day - and that’s ok. If you miss a workout, don’t beat yourself up. Instead, wipe the slate clean and start over tomorrow."

Resolution Tip: Make it easy.

Set yourself up for success by making good decisions easier. For example, if you value creativity and want to paint more, don’t leave your painting supplies buried in your closet, have them more easily accessible!

Resolution Tip: Start small.

When we succeed, our brains release chemicals including dopamine which is tied to pleasure and motivation. Our bodies then crave another success. Starting small enables you to experience rewards of achieving your goal and sets you on a path for continued success. So, if you want to meditate, start simply by taking 5 deep breaths!
