A Qualified Applicant Must Have:
* A minimum of 2 years of experience or;
* Clinical experience from a nursing program
* Strong interpersonal skills
* High school diploma/GED
* Valid Driver’s License
* Availability to work evenings, overnights, and/or weekends
* No visible tattoos/piercings that cannot be covered/removed
* Pre-Employment background check and drug screening
* Reliable Transportation

Pay rate is between $15.00 to $17.00 per hour for CNAs and $14.00 to $16.00 for Caregivers (based on skill level/experience and complexity of client need).

Passion. Mission. Profession. Vocation.

Is this how you describe your day job?

For a long time I would not have used those words, but now I can. In my life, I have been a mountain bike trail builder (something I love), a bookstore manager (something I'm good at), a standardized test grader (something that pays), and a foster home helper (something the world needs). I've had many other jobs too, all fitting a particular need at a particular time, but never have a had a job that fit all four of these categories. Until now. Now I have discovered a PASSION for helping our elders, a VOCATION that I can jump into, a PROFESSION that has enormous job growth over the length of my lifetime, and a MISSION to love the people around me to the best of my abilities.

The Japanese use the word IKIGAI to describe this intersection of goals and desires. It is a purpose, a Raison d'ȇtre, a reason to get out of bed in the morning and a reason to smile, even on the days that haven't been kind to you, even on the days that are challenging and tiring.

I believe I have found my “ikigai” in helping our seniors, right now as a CNA and home health care aide with Umbrella. If you have a passion for helping others and a desire to do work that will fill your heart to bursting, join me, and start the journey to discovering your own ikigai!
