This may be one of our favorite quotes of all time from our conversation with Certified Nurse Midwife, Paige Boran, back in 2024. A good provider knows when to be hands-on and when their skills are needed. A good provider also knows when to sit on their hands and when to allow birth to unfold undisturbed. Physiological birth is possible in hospitals with providers like Paige who give birth the space to unfold without intervention as a standard of practice.
