Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy is a medically based massage school located in Colorado Springs

As your partner in health, wellness, and education we strive to offer the best massage therapy education and massage clinics. CIMT offers four clinics: student, intern, and professional level massage as well as sports and injury rehabilitation clinics. You will see our students at various events around town, supporting the community in their efforts to be healthy, be aware, be happy, and be educated about general wellness. ✨Student Spotlight✨ Time
Stephanie is part of our Fall AM Class of 25 and a joy to have at CIMT.
Steph has dreamed of becoming a massage therapist for over 20 years. Inspired by mentors and a powerful lymphatic drainage session that changed her life, she knew this was her path.
When the opportunity aligned with grant funding from her previous job, she chose CIMT — not just for timing, but because our program stood out. The hours, the education quality, and especially our Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy Certificate resonated with her love for science.
Her favorite part of CIMT? The community. From supportive instructors to tight-knit classmates, Steph says the care and accommodations she’s received have made a lasting impact.
After graduation, she’s passionate about helping others through energy work, grief and trauma coaching, and pursuing advanced certifications in lymph drainage and Reiki. Her long-term dream? To mentor others and eventually own her own practice. 💼🌿

Meet Fox!
From corrections officer to massage therapist in the making.
This is what Fox had to say when asked about why she choose massage therapy, “massage therapy just felt like the right path. My best friend graduated from CIMT and loved it, so I did my research. It felt like harmony; the same education, but with heart.”
Her favorite part of CIMT? “The friendships. The sense of community here is incredible with the instructors, the staff, everyone.”
After graduation, Fox is excited to work alongside Jamey at Holmes Therapeutic Massage, a locally owned neuromuscular practice making a difference one client at a time.

✨Student Spotlight Time!✨
Say hey to Ryanne.
Ryanne is part of our Fall Am class graduating in a couple of months. Her passion for massage therapy stems from her belief that Eastern medicine is undervalued and underappreciated in today’s healthcare. After going through a difficult personal health journey; visiting six different doctors with no results, she finally found relief with a practitioner of Eastern medicine. That experience fueled her desire to help others in a more integrative and holistic way.
Why CIMT?
CIMT caught Ryanne’s attention with its unique elective offerings, as well as the Neuromuscular Therapy Certificate. The school’s location in Colorado and the opportunity to explore specialized coursework made it the perfect fit for her educational path. Ryanne cherishes the friendships she's made along the way and highlights instructors Mary and Nehir as her favorites for their impactful teaching and support.

What’s Next?
After graduating, Ryanne plans to work for an established practice for a year while preparing to open her own. Her long-term goal is to earn a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, specializing in acupuncture and naturopathy, continuing her mission to bridge Eastern and Western approaches to healing.

Golf + Massage = A Perfect Pair! ⛳💆‍♂️
This past weekend, some of our talented students headed to Castle Rock to provide free sports massages to golfers! Sports massage is a key part of our hands-on education, and we’re proud to give our students opportunities to build their skills in real-world settings. Great job, team!
