Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy is a medically based massage school located in Colorado Springs

As your partner in health, wellness, and education we strive to offer the best massage therapy education and massage clinics. CIMT offers four clinics: student, intern, and professional level massage as well as sports and injury rehabilitation clinics. You will see our students at various events around town, supporting the community in their efforts to be healthy, be aware, be happy, and be educated about general wellness. Say hello to Tami!
Growing up as an athlete and rising athletes, Tami always knew the benefits of sports massages. From wrestling to volleyball, Tami came to CIMT with many different experiences.
Tami choose to come to CIMT because of our ratings and the convenience of closeness to her house. Though Divide is not too close.
At first Tami was really here for the sports massage side of our education. However, the more she learns the more she has fallen in love with learning about the Neuromuscular side of our curriculum.
Upon graduation, Tami plans on working under a chiropractor she knows and eventually wants to run her own business, traveling doing massage on the road.
Tami is a bright spot here at CIMT, we are so luck to have her!

✨Student Spotlight Time✨
Meet Aidyn! A Winter PM student graduating this December.
Aidyn started her journey out as a personal trainer and her recovery process always involved some soft light touches using different sports massage tools. Aidyn felt limited and wanted to expand her horizons when it came to the recovery process.
When searching for a massage therapy school, Aidyn was looking for a school that best fit her sports massage needs. CIMT had a great cadaver lab experience, and came with additional certificates that intrigued her.
Since starting at CIMT, Aidyn has loved learning about anatomy.
After CIMT, Aidyn plans on working with a homeopathic doctor and continue her personal training.
We are so happy to have Aidyn with us!

At CIMT we introduce our students to all types of massage modalities. Ashiatsu massage serves as another way to induce deep pressure while taking cure of your body as a massage therapist.

Time for another ✨Student Spotlight✨
Katy is part of our Spring AM class, and has proven to be a passionate student with tons of skill and potential.
Katy discovered massage therapy through a personal injury. A little while ago she suffered from Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. A journey that took her through a few surgeries that could have been avoided with chiropractic and massage therapy care. Katy wants to give people a better experience in the healthcare field than she received.
She choose CIMT because of our Neuromuscular Certificate program, a medical based certification was pinnacle to her choice in massage therapy school.
Katy's favorite part of CIMT has been the family aspect of it, as well as the enthusiasm she feeds off of from her instructors.
After CIMT Katy aspires to work as a massage therapist in the chiropractic world.

Throwback to the early days of CIMT, back when we were in a completely different building. It’s amazing to reflect on how far we’ve come as the longest-running massage therapy school in Colorado. Our 40-year history is as rich as the community we’ve built.
