Barb Keiser has lived here for 12 years she lives in a one bedroom apartment with her cat, LuLu. Barb stated, "My family thought it would be better for me to live in the assisted living while my husband was next door. I could just walk over through the corridor to the nursing side and visit him instead of me driving. I love living here as I can still do things on my own, or if I need help there is always someone here to help you."

At Oak Pointe our activity team works hard every day to bring joy and a sense of adventure to our residents. From Lunch Bunch, touring the Cook Bison Ranch, or going to see the Fantasy of Lights, our residents are able to have fun outside of our community.

Thank you to all of our staff who go above and beyond to help create memories that will last forever!

We are incredibly grateful for our local family physicians and providers who care so deeply for our residents and our community.

Recently, we had the joy of delivering beautiful poinsettias as a small token of appreciation to the physician offices serving Columbia City and Churubusco. It was our way of saying thank you for the compassion, dedication, and partnership they show every day.

We truly appreciate those who help care for our Oak Pointe Assisted Living residents!

What a year it’s been! From National Assisted Living Week celebrations and Halloween fun to ice cream adventures, Sunken Garden outings, Dixie Boat rides, and a festive Christmas, our residents made memories every step of the way.

We can’t wait to see what 2026 has in store—more fun, more laughter, and more adventures ahead!

We had so much fun at our Christmas Party! Our residents and staff celebrated the season with snacks, peppermint Christmas punch, Christmas trivia, and gift exchanges. Santa even made a special visit to spread smiles and holiday cheer!
