We took a few of our residents to the Fort Wayne Glenbrook Mall, which they said they had not been to in years. They couldn't get over how everything had changed, but they enjoyed eating lunch at the food court, walking around, and stopping at a few stores. They were tired by the end of their walk, but said it was worth coming to the mall and remembering the good ole days.

Weekly cleaning of residents apartments including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, changing linens, and washing them to bringing them back to your room and they will even put them away for you. Here at Oak Pointe Assisted Living, we are equipped with four laundry rooms – two upstairs and two downstairs. Linens and towels are cared for by our dedicated housekeeping team, making sure residents always have soft, clean essentials. Personal laundry services are also available on weekends for an additional charge, offering extra convenience and peace of mind.

Step right up! We wrapped up National Assisted Living Week with a grand carnival finale! Residents tried their luck at ring toss, darts, and water balloons, all while enjoying music, popcorn, sweet carnival treats, and lemonade.

A big thank you to our residents, staff, and family members for joining in the fun this week. We can't wait to do it again next year!

Thursday was Casino Day, and man were the stakes high! We dined like high rollers with a mouth watering lunch of prime rib, lemon pepper chicken and a variety of delicious cheesecakes.

After lunch the fun really kicked off! Residents took turns "spinning" the machine, hoping to hit 3 of a kind and win a prize. Every spin brought a playful suspense and plenty of laughter. Sometimes it took a few tries, but the excitement never stopped!

Thank you to our staff and residents for making the day such a hit!

Wednesday we turned back the clock and celebrated like it was the 1950s for National Assisted Living Week. Lunch was served at Merissa's Diner where we enjoyed burgers, fries, and milkshakes.

Afterwards, we kept the fun rolling with a few rounds of 50's trivia that had everyone laughing and reminiscing. A highlight of the day was when Loretta Blake wore her original letterman sweater from her school days-what a perfect touch to our nostalgic celebration.

Big thank you to the residents and staff who joined in and made Sock Hop Day such a fun celebration!

National Assisted Living Week – Game Day!

Tuesday's theme was all about 'Game Day Fun.' Staff and residents showed off their team spirit in their favorite sports attire and spent the day tailgating, laughing with friends, and letting their competitive sides out.

From noodle hockey to shuffleboard, balloon tennis and basketball pong, everyone brought their A-game! Everybody was a winner today.
