The Creighton Model FertilityCare System (CrMS) is a safe and natural method of family planning. CrMS requires no drugs or surgeries and involves no artificial products or devices. It works by external body observations by the woman to determine fertile and infertile

days. By planning around these observations, the couple can determine the times to avoid or achieve pregnancy. The CrMS should not be confused with the Calendar Rhythm Method, which is based solely on a woman's past menstrual cycle lengths and cannot account for irregularities. CrMS determines fertility on a day-by-day basis. The daily observations are independent of the woman's cycles; therefore CrMS can be used successfully after childbirth, while breastfeeding, during irregular, short or long cycles from first period to last.
