Changes to Medicaid and HMK are here! During the COVID-19 pandemic, Montana temporarily stopped requiring yearly renewals for patients to continue to receive Medicaid benefits. Renewals (also called redeterminations) are back. Montana’s Office of Public Assistance will be contacting you with information regarding your renewal process.
Did you recently receive a notice from Montana Medicaid asking for renewal information and have questions? Greater Valley Health Center has trained enrollment specialists ready to assist you with your Medicaid renewal and other Marketplace coverage options if you no longer qualify for Medicaid. Call 406-607-4886 to speak with one of our enrollment specialists today.

It's important to stay cool in hot weather when fans aren't always enough, especially if it's humid! Here are some tips to stay cool in this mid-summer heat!

Continuing our Summer Safety series, we want to be extra aware about not leaving children or pets in your car. Even with your windows cracked, your car's temperature can increase as much as 20 degrees in a matter of only 10 minutes. When traveling with children or pets, take extra precaution by leaving something else in the backseat with them such as a phone, purse or even your shoe! We like to think you can never be too safe.

With the high temperatures coming this week, I thought a little heat safety promotion would be helpful. Because it’s a pretty big topic, I have made multiple posts so that we could break the information up. The next post is a reminder not to leave children and pets in the car. Let me know what you think about this first one I have attached!

Make sure before you plan an outing, you are looking at the weather and planning accordingly. Like we discussed before, always pack sunscreen as well as plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated throughout the day. Stay alert for signs of hyperthermia (over-heating) and heat stroke!
