🌟 Another rehab success story! 🌟

Congratulations to Marion, who recently completed his rehabilitation with us. When he arrived, he was unable to walk, get in and out of bed, or manage daily hygiene tasks, and now he's up and walking, getting around and taking care of himself with only minor setup assistance for self-care.

"I appreciate the therapy team and all they did for me," Marion shared.

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

🗓️ Friday, April 3rd, 2 p.m. - 12 a.m.

This year we are teaming up with the University of South Carolina to raise awareness of cancer and fundraise for the American Cancer Society. At the Relay, you'll find community members taking turns walking a path or track lined with luminaria bags. ✨ You'll have the opportunity to cheer for local survivors (or participate as a survivor yourself) in our first lap of the day.
