You are not alone!

I did too, I’ve learned, I’ve grown and now I can help you too (not with my method, but with your own!)

Whole body health is hard to come by in a society that sees you as a diagnosis code and a problem list.

It’s maddening to me.
Because I see all of you.
I see the love you have for your family, friends, adventures.

And when you have a systemic problem, I know you can feel like you are being passed around.

Because as a health care society we have decided that everyone needs to be a specialist. That the nuances matter more then the simplicity.

And for some people they do, but for the majority of us, they don’t.

It is about doing the simple (not easy) things in our life, so medical pros will say “just exercise, eat right and get outside” and you say “ok!” But you’ve never done that. And truly it can feel foreign to many of us.

There’s a lot to unpack there and that’s a lot of habits to form. Yes simple, NOT EASY!

It’s also about deprogramming from all the BS that is out here.

And remembering we have an inner knowledge that is rich with what we need to do for our bodies and minds.

But we’ve lost touch. We’ve listened to “experts” who have led us astray and

now we don’t know who to trust. We don’t know who to listen to, and we were never taught how to trust our own voice.

So we listen to the “watches” telling us we did enough. We listen to other experts telling us the best supplements to buy and body devices we “need to have” to make us youthful.

We are constantly sold BS 🐮💩

And we buy it because we are vulnerable, because we’ve lost touch and we are desperate for something to work for us.

All we really need to do is be ok, not being ok. We need to ask for help from a provider that sees the full you for all of your strengths and can help you were you feel stuck.

I’m here for it!

So here’s a list of signs and symptoms of what burnout is.

And how it affects your physiology

Making you more prone to infection and injury.

And if you already struggle with pain from injury
Guess what…the pain will likely increase during burnout

Grateful
For my choice to care for me the best way I know how.
For letting my hubby know what I need
For him listening to me when I wanted to put everyone first and skip my workout.
For him standing in his power to compassionately remind me that everyone is fine and nothing will change if I went to work out, the decision we needed to make could wait.

Grateful for our partnership, Grateful for my health.

Grateful I choose to move and exercise the way that nourishes my body (even when it makes my body all the right kind of sore).

All I need is poetry & science to solve my problems.

Knowledge is another form of power.

Thank you for your healing words
Thank you for your fierce dedication to make sure we have science based information on women’s brains! Because they are not men’s!

Not pictured- thank your for your dedication to the study of not only tender self compassion, but the very important FIERCE self compassion.

These are my favorite books this year and I’m happy to own them, touch them and have them AND I do still enjoy having the audio version too, to help those science facts sink in 😊

A moment in time
After crying this morning for an outcome I have no control over💙

Having this time with my kids each week to enjoy a breakfast together.

To listen to their lives, learn what’s going on. Teach and practice with them compassion and understanding.

To create a relationship where they feel safe to share and ask the challenging questions without fear of judgement.

I’m am beyond grateful for all of it.

I never planned on this being a non-negotiable in my life, I thought only women with luxury did this.

But nope, I was wrong. Many women drive their kids to school. And I wanted just a little more. So these moments are some of the greatest pleasures in life.

And for the last 3 years I have been experiencing these weekly pleasures.

I will never compromise, They are my standing appointment 💙💜

Anyway, today after our beautiful breakfast, my son said “Mom, I know it’s a tough day and this really sucks. But I want to know, what are you going to do for fun?”

And I just smiled. He has heard me. I still get to have fun, even when it feels like my guts have been pulled from my body. I am still here on Earth and I still get to enjoy pleasure and play each day.

I told him, this is my fun. Breakfast with you and singing Christmas carols ❤️💚

He smiled, we smiled and for that, it made the world seem ok in this moment 💜

Living life on my terms. It’s what I’m here for. And I’m grateful for this courage to do something Inwas never taught and being brave and doing something different to bring me the greatest pleasure in my current season of life 💜

🙏🏻Grateful Day 3 - For my body that was built to play because it was built through play 😍

Did you know humans are the longest playing mammals?

It is truly remarkable our bodies are meant to play our entire lives!
And because I believe this so deeply and I’m a kinesthetic player,

when I celebrate, it usually has to do with physical activity 🙂

So my celebration for and creating my first podcast was buying this pickleball paddles 🎾

I celebrated on Fun time Friday with my kids, while hubby made dinner ❤️

We played, they yapped, I listened and learned.

🛝Playing allows all humans to become vulnerable and lowers our guard and allows for deeper communication.

So Friday, I learned the phrases
“Crash Out” and “tweaking” (and a few others 😅)

And this gift of play, to be able to laugh, moan from minor trips and falls and overall be silly helps us take life less seriously, connect and learn from one another and listen to the perspective of my teens,

because their perspective matters 💜

And it’s why finding the balance with work and life is essential.

To show our kids the gifts of play
That work has its place, but we cannot progress as a society if we do not play together. Our work cannot progress and we stay stuck in old patterns that “feel safe” but are not supportive to the greater good.

Through play we learn what works and what doesn’t. We learn hw to communicate and how to take social cues.

Without play we lack deep conversations to solve real systemic problems.

The gift of play is deep.

So please
🛝 Get out and PLAY, laugh and connect with those who matter most to you.

Listen in, hear a different perspective and gently open to curiosity.

Gratitude is all around

Here’s an invitation to see “it” for what “it” truly is.
Thank “it” for gifting you what you needed during that time of your life.

For me, WalkToeBer gifted me deeper connection with people I’m already very familiar with (and I needed as I had just hit the bottom of the grief pit and was climbing out).

It was a place for me to continue to serve these women, that was easy, embodied and gave me energy as I was recovering from the pit fall.

I could serve from a place of power and compassion (never pity), even as I regained my emotional strength.

A place I could coach them “where they’re at” (physically and emotionally)

To spread my word that You are doing Enough with your movement AND here is how to keep challenging yourself to safely do “hard things”.

Thank you my wonder working walking women for joining me in the Facebook group and the podcast where you showed up in beautiful ways.

I’m so grateful to have received your wins (and your struggles).

You may never know how much each of you mean to me, but I truly hope you know you all have a special place in my heart 💜

I’ve been there 💜
I can recognize my beliefs and now have to strategies to use when these beliefs pop back up (because they never go away…you learn to recognize, welcome and help them move through you)

Stop saying “I know I should get up from my desk and move”

And

Use journaling as a tool to start to understand why you’re not choosing to move.

And STOP WASTING TIME shoulding on yourself about the same thing.

And start taking action 🎬

Journaling is how you get your time back 💃

And this is why clients that work with me in my

where I support midlife women who are feeling stuck in their work chair

start to flow with movement that inspires them to keep going in their life and work with my FLOW methodology,

To start to Journal between sessions, To get a little clearer and address barriers that keep getting in the way.

We begin to clear up the barriers and literally move on! 👣

So here are some tips to get started and get your time back!

1️⃣ Set a 5 minute timer. Really honor this time! If This is your first time in awhile. It can be a lot happening in there! 5 minutes is enough!
2️⃣ Doodle 💜🌸⭕️
3️⃣ Let the words come out of you and then let it go into the shredder or trash. You don’t have to keep everything you write.
