• Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder associated with physical growth delays and mild to moderate development and intellectual disability.
• It is caused by the presence of an extra copy of chromosome 21.
• Children with Down Syndrome can benefit from speech, occupational, physical and feeding therapy
• The most important thing to remember is a child’s abilities further outweigh their disability!
