On November 8th, Dr. Cartledge enjoyed being a presenter at the Young Women of Excellence Education Workshop at Brookland Baptist Church. She enjoyed speaking about her career with all the young ladies and seeing what college gear they were wearing. It was even more special because her daughter, Kennedy, was a participant and had a great time learning about different careers and making a vision board.

Dr. Cartledge enjoyed speaking to the Public Health class at Benedict College today! She was able to discuss her optometry career path and the ocular effects of Metabolic Syndrome. Thank you to Professor Counts for the invitation to speak!

Dr. Cartledge enjoyed speaking to the seniors and sponsoring the Senior Citizens Healthcare and Fun Day Luncheon. Dr. Cartledge was able to provide the attendees with vital information about conditions that affect their eyes as they age. Thank you to former councilwoman Bernice G. Scott for the invitation to speak at this great event!

Dr. Cartledge and Dacia enjoyed participating in the Back to School Bash at Pine Haven Villas Apartments today. They were able to successfully screen 25 students to make sure they are visually prepared to excel in the classroom. Thanks MUSA and Reverend Corwin Scriven for the invite.

Dr. Cartledge enjoyed giving back to her church family by providing free vision screenings for the youth at the Back to School Rally today. She and Dacia were able to screen about 30 youth. Thank you First Nazareth Baptist Church for the invite. Upholding the tradition….good things come out of Nazareth.
