It's Terminology Tuesday!!!!

Tact is a label, it could be labeling the name, color, shape, taste, sound or size of something. Examples "I see a dog" or "I hear a siren". It can also be cued with a question such as "Why do you see?" - A rainbow! Tacts help build foundational language skills, increase vocabulary and allow for shared experiences!

Terminology Tuesday:

Making requests is an important everyday skill. Teaching a learner to make requests can reduce interfering behaviors, increase social interactions, empower independence, and tap into a learner's motivation. In a child-led environment, this is taught naturally throughout their day for meaningful learning opportunities.
