☀️ COLUMBIA SC - Summer Program Update – Mighty Kidz Services Families ☀️

We’re excited to share that our Summer Program is returning this year!

Current MKS families receiving school-based and afterschool services will have first priority enrollment, following families who participated in last summer’s program and meet updated program eligibility criteria.

As Mighty Kidz Services continues to grow and expand, we’ve made an intentional decision to keep our summer program small and internal this year. This allows us to thoughtfully pilot and strengthen new offerings—while maintaining the individualized, high-quality support our families expect.

Our vision is for this summer to serve as a strong foundation. With a successful pilot, we plan to expand these opportunities into bigger programs, with the goal of opening enrollment to the broader community in the future.

While our reach is limited this season, this approach helps us build something that is sustainable, meaningful, and impactful—for both our current families and the community we proudly serve.

👋 some of our KIDZ just wanted to say HELLO! 😊

We’ve been a little quiet lately—but for all the best reasons!

Our days have been full getting back into therapy schedules, having so much fun, and doing the meaningful work that matters most.

Our therapists have been hard at work introducing new programs, with many focused on:
✨ Toilet training
🎒 Preparing for school transitions this fall
💗 Supporting kiddos who are brand new to our clinic and school teams

And we’re just getting started…

• Full-time hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Clinic-based, collaborative environment
* One individual Lexington school-based position 9-2:30pm with afterschool clinic opportunity 3-5:30 for full time hours.

We are beyond grateful for the generosity of our Mooresville community!

What started as a simple Facebook connection turned into something truly special. A local family, led by a true community angel, believed in our mission and fully funded this incredible play space for Mighty Kidz Services in Mooresville!

Tyler, owner of Talbot Design and Build, went above and beyond bringing this vision to life—working from designs inspired by our community angel’s personal connection to autism. Tyler, our builder, did an absolutely amazing job constructing the space with care and precision. Every detail was created with intention, heart, and our KIDZ in mind.

We are endlessly thankful for the people who show up for our kidz, our families, and our mission. This is community at its best 🩵🧡

🎉 MEET OUR MIGHTY TEAM MEMBER! 🎉

We are beyond excited to welcome Teresa Carr to our MIGHTY BCBA TEAM as part of our North Carolina expansion!

Teresa brings nearly 10 years of experience in ABA and 5 years as a BCBA, along with a strong passion for collaboration and truly caring for learners and their families.

We are thrilled to have Teresa join us as we prepare to open our Mooresville clinic very soon, and we can’t wait for our families to meet her!

My name is Teresa Carr, I have been in the field of ABA for just about 10 years and a BCBA for 5. I have relocated from New Jersey to North Carolina. My hobbies outside of work include hunting, fishing, racing, snowboarding, camping, working out, and anything adventurous really. A few fun facts about me is that I am always on the go, my family means the absolute world to me, my two puppies are everything to us and I have really enjoyed getting into homesteading! What stood out to me about MKS is the collaboration and true care given for learners and their faimilies.

We are opening our doors for families to begin our intake and assessment process for our new clinic location at 179 Gasoline Aly Suite 101 Mooresville NC!

🩵 Completing this process early allows 1:1 ABA therapy to begin immediately once renovations are complete IF interested in clinic setting 🧡

ADDITIONAL SETTINGS:
✔️ In-Home ABA Therapy

✔️ Daycare and Community

✔️ School-based (if allowed)

We cannot wait for this renovation to be complete!
We’ve added additional space for outside therapists to come in and collaborate with our team!

Wow, what a year! 2025 was all about building with intention.

We welcomed new families and kidz, added compassionate team members to our trauma-responsive practice, and said goodbye to families & kidz who no longer needed our support—every step shaping our community.

Big things ahead:
• North Carolina expansion with a 2026 Mooresville clinic opening (scheduling intakes now)
• New programs in 2026 including expanded social skills groups: Table Top Kidz Club, PEERS, and additional day program expanded ages!
• Columbia, SC renovations including a School Readiness additional room and toilet-training bathrooms!

Growth isn’t always fast or easy, but when it’s intentional, it’s worth it. Here’s to what we’ve built—and what’s coming next!
