Acorn Health proudly partnered with Delegate Michele Guyton and Brocato & Shattuck Consulting to champion House Bill 745—a newly passed Maryland law that accelerates licensure for board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs).

We provided testimony, worked with state leaders, and advocated relentlessly to address the licensing delays that were preventing children with autism from accessing timely care.

Now, thanks to HB 745, qualified behavior therapists can be licensed in just 30 to 50 days, meaning children across Maryland can begin treatment sooner—and families can get the support they deserve without the wait.

This is more than a policy win. It’s a victory for care, access, and the autism community we serve every day. 💙💚

We had a wonderful time at the Ga***rd Alpenfest supporting the low sensory art tent during Kids Day!

Acorn Health’s Ga***rd, Michigan center co-sponsored the tent alongside E-Free Church and Jet’s Pizza, helping make this calming, inclusive space possible. Activities like slime-making and sensory bottle creation were designed to be accessible for all children, including those with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays.
