We’re excited to announce that Brightview Joy’s Farm has officially broken ground in Paramus, New Jersey! Joy’s Farm will mark the 11th Brightview community in the Garden State.

This new community will bring Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care to the region, along with thoughtfully designed amenities and vibrant spaces for residents to thrive.
Once complete, Brightview Joy’s Farm will offer 170 luxury apartment homes along with stunning community amenities such as a movie theater, pub, health and wellness spa, game room, outdoor dining, and more!

We’re proud to continue growing in Northern New Jersey and look forward to welcoming residents in late 2026.

We may be biased, but we truly believe we have the best residents in the world.

At Brightview North Andover in Massachusetts, resident Mary Todd recently wrote and published a powerful book chronicling her husband Jim’s journey with Alzheimer’s. The book, which lists Jim as a co-author, weaves in real conversations between the couple as Mary set out to be “emotionally honest” in sharing their experience.

It’s an intimate, brave, and beautifully written account of love, loss, and resilience. At Brightview, we know art and creativity knows no age limit!

From July 7–11, Brightview communities across Baltimore and Annapolis welcomed the Avila Art Makers Exhibits and Artist Talks, a heartfelt program with Avila Home Care that brought powerful works of art and live artist conversations directly to our residents.

Who says Santa only comes in December? 🎁 We had a jolly surprise visit from the big guy himself at our Christmas in July celebration! With classic holiday tunes we all know and love filling the air, it felt like the North Pole met the tropics.

We sipped on frozen hot chocolate and piña coladas, played festive games, and shared lots of laughs under the summer sun. Thanks to everyone who made it merry and bright—July style!🎶🌴

Today we bid a heartfelt (and heroic) farewell to our very own Superman — Chris! While he may not wear a cape (at least not to work), he’s certainly soared through every challenge with strength, compassion, and a calm presence.

Chris' last day at Brightview Columbia has us feeling all the feels — proud, excited, and maybe just a little misty-eyed. He’s off to his next big adventure, and while we’ll miss him faster than a speeding bullet, we know he's destined for greatness!

Cheers to you, Chris — thanks for being our man of steel. Don’t forget to fly back and visit! 🦸‍♂️🌟

We kicked off the month of April with some seriously silly fun at Social Hour today! Silly glasses were on everyone’s face, because who doesn’t love a little comedy relief 🤓We served up mini grilled cheeses—pound cake and frosting style—and "sundaes" made of mashed potatoes, gravy, and blistered cherry tomatoes. The residents were tickled and the belly laughs could be heard from all over!

We were honored to host Marcus Sankofa Nicks, historian, educator and founder of History Heals Consulting, for an unforgettable lecture in celebration of Women’s History Month. The session, titled "Women of Excellence: Historic Resilience through the Experience of Black Women", shed light on the powerful stories of perseverance, strength, and the significant contributions of Black women in Maryland throughout history. It was a powerful reminder of the unwavering spirit of women of excellence.
