Meet Boone Besties Lacey Clark and Sadie Brimer!

Lacey: "Where do I even start? Sadie and I have been working together for over 10 years now, with a small gap in between. And I think we would both agree, it would be hard to do this without each other. Ya know that one person who just gets it, no matter what it is? If we need help with a patient, need a backup when one of us is off the floor, have a question we need to bat back and forth, a complicated situation or something new that needs two brains...Sadie is that for me. We just work so well together, and it's really a great feeling to know she's going to be there to help through whatever it is.
I think it's safe to say our friendship is Boone-wide as it is sort of running joke when the "besties" walk in to Boone Appetit. But our friendship spans outside of the hospital too. We've seen each other through life milestones, welcoming our babies, some family loss and hardships, and the busy life of working moms. I'm glad she gave me a second chance to be her buddy way back in the day. ;) I have gained a bestie for life!"

Meet Boone Besties Kristen Howard and Morgan Prieto!

Kristen: "Morgan and I have shared an office for over 3 years, and she has helped me to grow as a dietitian exponentially during that time. She has seen me become a mother and has supported me through breastfeeding and postpartum. Now we get to enjoy being pregnant mommas and professionals together. Morgan is extremely knowledgeable in many subject matters; but especially in areas of critical care and nutrition support. She has helped to advance my career and encourages me to be a better dietitian, a better wife and a better mother.
I miss Morgan tremendously when she is gone! I can talk to her about literally anything without fear of judgement. I have never laughed so hard as I have with Morgan. She is silly, but sophisticated in the same breath.
I love you Morgan, and I'm proud to call you my work bestie! :)

Sadie Brimer, RN is our December 2025 Employee of the Month! We cannot say enough great things about her and everything she does for Boone Health! She is a wealth of knowledge for Surgical Specialties and a go-to person for questions with surgical patients. She is pleasant with every interaction, knows when to act and does so swiftly and calmly, and always finds time to help others when needed.

Her patience, encouragement, and passion for nursing has made a lasting impact on our patients, employees, and company - thank you for everything you do Sadie, we appreciate you!

Meet Boone Besties Juliet Heath and Kelsey Hammons!

Juliet: "Long before we worked together, Kelsey and I knew of each other since we were from neighboring small towns. Kelsey is a few years younger than me, so our paths never directly crossed. That is, until Boone. We both started as nurses on night shift around the same time, and it didn’t take long for us to connect. Even though we only worked together occasionally at first, our bond formed quickly, and I always looked forward to our shifts together.

As time went on, we started working side by side more often, and through the long, crazy nights, we built an unbreakable friendship. Anyone who worked with us knew we were ‘work besties.’ We’ve survived countless wild nights, endless caffeine, and way too many 3 a.m. giggle fits together. Working with Kelsey made the hardest nights easier, and our collaboration with difficult patients has made me a better nurse. This friendship has reminded me what teamwork is truly about at Boone.

Recently, I made the move to a dayshift position, and leaving my work bestie behind was one of the hardest parts of that transition. Seeing Kelsey at shift change is still something I look forward to each day. No matter the shift or schedule, she’ll always be my work bestie and one of the best parts of my Boone journey."

Excited to announce that T. Clark is our November 2025 Employee of the Month! T has been a huge asset to the scheduling team since her arrival at Boone Health. She is always polite, calm and tedious in her work, ensuring everything is completed correctly and efficiently.

From day one as a Procedural Scheduler, she has taken initiative to create notes to share with other schedulers, learned the resources in and out, and takes the initiative to learn aspects of the technologist workflow to better understand the 'why' and better help our patients.

T has created a positive working relationship with so many people at Boone and we appreciate all that she has done and continues to do for Boone Health.

Meet Boone Besties Amber McLelland and Charlene Roller!

Amber: "I have worked with Charlene for quite a few years. She has always been willing to help me with anything. If it was something she didn't know, she was willing to learn on the fly. She has been a great work bestie. She can always tell when something is wrong, and is willing to listen, hug, or just cry with me if that is what is needed. I call her my emotional support co-worker as she has been there for me for whatever is needed."
