Dalton Marlowe, M.A., Counselor/Therapist

Dalton Marlowe, M.A., Counselor/Therapist Licensed Professional Counselor I know for many people, myself included, asking for help can be a scary and vulnerable thing to do.

However, I believe seeking help demonstrates bravery. Vulnerability does not make us weak; in fact, it makes us strong and courageous. It is my desire to work with individuals and assist them in their personal growth. I use many forms of therapy, but Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy are my most commonly used approaches. I want to increase my clients' self-awareness. It is my goal to help individuals develop healthier thinking and behavioral patterns in order to improve the ways they view themselves and interact with others. My specialty areas include working with eating disorders, addictions, and substance abuse. I also work with a wide range of individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and other mood disorders, as well as working with couples and providing premarital counseling. I believe everyone has their own story, path, and struggle; it is my desire to meet you where you are at and help you grow into the person you would be proud to be. It is common for us to accept things as they are because putting in the work to change can be very difficult. However, it is my desire to walk with you through this season of growth to help you find coping skills, support systems, increase your self-awareness, strengthen current relationships, increase healthier thinking and behavioral patterns, and so much more. In my time away from the office, I am typically with family or friends. I enjoy staying active and going to the gym, I love going for long drives and listening to music, and I have a great appreciation for art and other cultures.

Bipolar disorder is more than just mood swings—it’s a complex mental health condition that affects emotions, energy, and daily functioning. It includes episodes of mania (high energy, impulsivity) and depression (low energy, sadness), but with treatment and support, individuals can lead fulfilling lives. 💙

If you or someone you love is living with bipolar disorder, know that you are not your diagnosis. You are strong, resilient, and worthy of support. Let’s break the stigma and raise awareness together.

“Only women struggle with disorderly eating”
‼️FALSE‼️

🍽️ Recent studies find that one-third of individuals battling eating disorders are MEN. Men often go undiagnosed and battle eating disorders alone due to the cultural and gender bias.
