It’s time for my yearly intro - Hi 👋 My name is Ashley Waddington and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor, Educator and Researcher in Columbia, SC.

I own an individual therapy practice in South Carolina and work as an Adjunct Instructor for Masters and Doctoral level students at the University of South Carolina - Go Gamecocks! 🐓 and Bellevue University - Go Bruins! 🐻

I absolutely love and cherish my work with clients and therapy days are often my favorite days of the week! 🛋️ On top of that, I also absolutely love instructing new counselors to prepare for the field and profession. 👩‍🏫📚

Other fun facts include:
- I’ve been with my partner close to 13 years 💕
- We are parents to the sweetest baby girl via IVF 💉
- I’m an enneagram 3w2 📝📅 (I know a to-do list hates to see me coming…. 😅)
- I’m a retired athlete 🏃‍♀️Go Bobcats! 🐾
- I love to DIY 🛠️, paint 🎨 & really so anything crafty!
- I love to read… preferably s**t 🤭 📚 goal is 18 books this year… 1/18 is ✅!
- I’ve made it a goal to reach 10k followers this year on my business socials! 📈😅

What WORKS for my relationship that might be helpful for yours 🫶🏼 Part 2: Monthly Mea Planning and Weekly Meal Prepping

One of the biggest complaints from couples I hear is the question of ‘What’s for dinner?!’ My partner and I got so frustrated with asking that question so long ago that we created a way around it that has been one of the biggest flexes of our relationship… MONTHLY meal planning and WEEKLY meal prepping!

My partner and I do this every month (and have since 2020!!) and week and it has been so amazing for our relationship.

Whenever I bring this up with couples one of their first things they say is, ‘but what if you don’t want that that day?!’ And I’m here to tell you, we can be flexible and change our minds then… with collaboration and working together to make it happen! 😉

I highly recommend taking some time to plan things out… remove some of the unnecessary stress we all have!

Holiday snacks aren’t the enemy — but the pressure, rushing, and stress around eating can make our bodies feel a little louder this time of year.

For some women, increased sugar and stress can show up as bloating, inflammation, or changes “down there.” That doesn’t mean you need to restrict or punish yourself — it means your body is asking for a little extra support.

This December, the goal isn’t control.
It’s curiosity.
It’s nourishment and enjoyment.
It’s letting food be part of the season — not something to fight against.

If you’ve noticed your body responding differently this month, you’re not alone and nothing is “wrong” with you.

One of my favorite things that I do for the year is set some intentions that I try to reach by the end of the next year!

it’s pretty simple and only requires a sheet of white paper, a pen or markers (to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing! 😃), and some realistic intentions for the year ahead!

Once you’re done, tape it somewhere you can see everyday!
