I felt inspired speaking with a local GS Brownie troop as part of their 'My Best Self' badge.

We:
- examined feelings,
- discussed the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors,
- identified strategies for responding to uncomfortable feelings,
- practiced deep breathing and grounding exercises,
- determined who are the helpers in our community,
- listed ways we can be helpers for ourselves and for others, and
- learned about how therapy can be a place for everyone to take care of themselves and to grow as individuals.

I may be Dr. B, but they're each doctors in knowing themselves best! Thank you for inviting me to share in your troop meeting tonight!

Yes, I am the "Therapist Lady" who cried when listening to this powerful message at last night's concert. I am SO grateful and thankful that my kiddo, and all the others in attendance, could hear that they aren't alone during tough times. That support is out there. That they aren't broken. That mental health matters. That they matter!
