Last Call for for Spring Qi Gong Classes - Enrollment Ends Monday
We call it “Wood” or “Tree” energy, what shows up in and around us this time of year. As in how buds burst from branch tips to let baby leaves uncurl and expand. ‘The force that thru the green fuse drives the flower,’ Dylan Thomas famously said.
A Navaho woman I met in New Mexico last week told me the sound of thunder marks the start of Spring. It ends the Season When the Thunder sleeps.
No doubt that thunder is woke here now, yes? The changing light and warmth - and thunder! - of this Season is stirring changes in all of us:
- Our bodies need to move more.
- Our imagination can opens new outlets for creativity.
- Our vision is sharper.
It’s becoming clear, where we’re going and what we want in our lives. And also what we don’t! Wind and thunder arise as opposites collide - on every level. Spring is prime time for Liver energy and detox on every level.
Want to explore some medicinal movements with me this Spring? Ancient Qi Gong practices to clear the way for the growth and healing that Spring offers us?
It’s not too late to sign up for my Spring Classes. Enrollment is open thru Monday, March 11. Enjoy three weeks of progressive video classes, one class each week. With an (optional) interactive class on the Spring Equinox (March 21). Go to the new Five Seasons Learning website to register:

The vigor that lets a little sapling break thru the crust of the earth - that’s the image of the Chinese character we use for Spring time energy. It’s not exactly sap that rises in us, but we can learn the dances trees teach us.
Wishing you a beautiful Spring!
