Wondering why your loved one is always chewing on something? Like their fingernails, shirt collar, pens, pencils, or toothpicks?

Chewing is one of the body's natural ways to calm in times of stress or anxiety, to focus (which is why you see chewing more at school, or work), or as a way to self-regulate if you have extra sensory needs.
