Yoga for Anxiety Workshop
lowering daily anxiety and stress
taught by Maxine Deutschendorf of Infinite Yoga
Most of us experience some level of anxiety and stress in our lives on a daily basis. Regardless of how these shows up and the level and degree to which they impact us, stress and anxiety have been found to negatively affect our overall health, state of mind and emotional well-being. Learning techniques to lower generalized anxiety and stress and address specific ways that we experience stress is what we will do in this workshop.
This workshop will teach practices that address:
Elevated Anxiety/Stress Levels
Busy Mind/Racing Thoughts
Poor Sleep Quality/Insomnia
Rumination
Anxiety/Panic Attacks
ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder
OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Stress/Anxiety Triggers
These practices have been found to:
Balance brain bio-chemistry
Deactivate the flight or flight response
Decrease the stress hormone, cortisol
Increase the feel good hormones
Reduce anxiety in the body and mind
Ease muscle tension and stiffness
