Our team is taking on the sixth most common cancer with free head and neck cancer screenings on Friday, April 21 at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. Although alcohol and to***co are the No. 1 risk factors for head and neck cancer, HPV, occupational exposures and radiation exposures play a significant role as well, making this a cancer that should be on everyone’s radar. Ellis Fischel Cancer Center welcomed a special guest for the annual Pink Out Day, Wednesday Oct. 26 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Miss Missouri 2022 Clare Marie Kuebler joined Ellis Fischel staff for a Pink Out photo.

Kuebler also toured Ellis Fischel Cancer Center during her visit. learned about mammography services and got a sneak peek at the decorated bras that will be auctioned off at the Artful Bra fundraiser. “Being a woman in a woman empowerment organization, it was really important for me to spread awareness and use my platform as Miss Missouri to educate others about breast cancer,” Kuebler said.

Kuebler is a University of Missouri graduate. She’ll compete in the Miss America competition in December.
