Yesterday I had the pleasure of enjoying a forest bathing guided walk. Forest bathing is definitely something i have done before many times, but yesterday it was given a name and called a healing practice for the first time for me. But as I walked at a turtle's pace, drinking in the sights, sounds, and smells and even touching some soft mosses and clovers I couldn't help but notice the groups of other walkers just whizzing on by. Some had dogs and of course although we "walk our dogs" they often lead the way and that's a good thing to let them do from time to time. But others were seemingly just walking. And I wondered if they ever slow down and enjoy the nature around them, or are their nature walks also overtaken by the busy-ness of modern life?
We have so much natural beauty around us here in the Midlands - it would be a simple thing to make forest bathing a regular part of our lives. So I wonder if there would be any interest in a weekly or biweekly group forest bathing outing? This would be a very informal thing - I don't intend to be a guide in any official capacity, but simply an organizer. If this is something you would be interested in comment below π³ππ±
