💫 Congratulations to Tina Maple, our February Whatever It Takes Champion! 👏Tina is one of our amazing Cooks and works hard to ensure that residents' food is exactly what they want, all while making sure the kitchen runs smoothly during her shift. 👩‍🍳 She visits residents daily to find out their likes and dislikes, and goes above and beyond to accommodate special orders when possible. We are so thankful that Tina is part of our Life Care family! ❤️

🎉 Congratulations to Carlene Maple, one of our Dietary Aides and our January 2026 Whatever It Takes Champion! 👏 During the ice storm in January, the morning cook was unable to make it in. Although cooking is not one of Carlene's responsibilities, she stepped up and made sure that residents and staff had a full breakfast! 🍳🥓 Carlene jokingly told her boss that, "My nerves were shot, but they got breakfast!" We are so thankful for Carlene and all she does! ❤️

We are so proud of Frances for regaining her independence! 👍

Frances needed help with her walking and self-care when she arrived and is now handle all of that on her own. 😁

"The staff are the most pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable people you will find," Frances shared. "It did not take long for my strength to improve, and I was biking for 3 miles!" 🚲

🪇 February 24th was National Tortilla Chip Day, and we celebrated with nachos! The tortilla chip has become a must-have in the kitchen, providing the foundation for nachos, the essential tool for dipping and the ultimate texture-adder for soups! 🍲😋

🍫 Associates recently showed off their best chocolate creations with a friendly competition in our first-ever Chocolate Bake Off! It was all about sharing our love for all things chocolate! 🤎

🥇 Associates sampled the incredible chocolate desserts and voted for their favorite. It was a hard decision but the winner was #5, a triple chocolate cheesecake made by Peggy Caperton. 🥈 2nd runner up was #3, a flourless, gluten-free chocolate cake made by Karen Turbett, and our 🥉 3rd place winner was #7, a 6-layer chocolate and salted caramel cake made by Beth Spruiell.

Thanks to all of our participants! Each entry was all delicious! 😋

❤️ Love was in the air as we celebrated Valentine's Day with the recognition and crowning of the King and Queen and their court at the Valentine's party. 👑

🤩 The runners up were Jeffery Branham and Mary Gooch. Our King for 2026 was Jerry Hall, and our 2026 Queens were Martha Boone and Angela Hall. 💕 We enjoyed special music by our Resident Council President James Gordon. Special thanks to our healthcare friends who provided sweet treats for everyone to enjoy. 🍪
