We're proud to recognize Shakira Kone as The Bridge at Columbia's Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Winner for July 2025!

During a recent emergency in our kitchen, Shakira remained calm and composed when a fire broke out on the stove. Thanks to her quick thinking and training, she identified it as a grease fire and used the correct extinguisher to put it out safely. She communicated clearly with the team and prevented a potentially dangerous situation from escalating.

Shakira is a true asset to our dining department and a shining example of dedication and grace under pressure.

Thank you, Shakira, for going the extra mile and keeping our community safe!

The updated look has truly brightened and refreshed our community, creating a more welcoming and vibrant environment for residents, families, and guests. June 2025 GEM Winner

The Bridge at Columbia's June 2025's Going the Extra Mile Winner is Selena Stevens. Selena is one of our wonderful housekeepers. She often tackles extra tasks that are not a part of her normal job duties. Selena is being recognized for taking it upon herself to clean up the pile of cigarette butts next to the dumpster that had been spilled out of the ground. She is a stickler for having our community look nice. She also helped a new residents break down all the moving boxes after they had moved in and took them to the dumpster for disposal. We appreciate you and thank you Selena, for your attention to detail and making our community look and smell nice. Your love for these residents is obvious by all that you do for the Bridge at Columbia family!

Residents and families came together for a lively and joy-filled game night at The Bridge at Columbia. Laughter echoed through the community as different generations joined in some friendly, spirited competition! Our amazing dining team added to the fun with a delicious spread, featuring creamy spinach dip, fresh veggies, and a variety of sweet treats. It was a night full of smiles, connection, and cherished memories.
