This is no April Fools Joke—I opened ēlia’s doors 8 years ago in our 1st location. I found a few photos from the 1st month we were open and wanted to share. ēlia is so much more than a place to get services done. Introduction to Clean Ingredient Living

If you’ve been to ēlia then you probably know that we are a clean ingredient spa. We do our best to bring you the cleanest products without compromising the results you are desiring.

Over the last 16 years, I (nichole), have been on a journey to living a toxin free lifestyle. It all started with my oldest child having severe eczema and taking things out of his daily life that would make his skin flare up. Little did I know that this would lead me on a path to opening a toxin free spa!?!?!? I can tell you first hand at the difference living a clean ingredient lifestyle has done for all of us. What started as removing a few ingredients turned in a passion and life mission to help educate others.

This class is something that I have been wanting to do offer on a regular basis and cannot wait to bring you the tools and resources to help you on your journey to toxin free living. We will also cover many of the benefits of why it’s important to remove certain things from your daily life. It can often be overwhelming and you may not know where to even start…that’s what I’m here for! You’ll leave this class with lots of knowledge and resources all in one place to help set you up for success. Please feel free to ask any specific questions you have prior to the class.

Our next Herbalism Class has a date: March 1st from 10-12 or 5-7. This class will take place in ēlia’s Private Lounge on the 2nd floor and is limited to 15 guests.

Herbal Support for Women: This class will go over symptoms, self-diagnosis and treatment tools. Jacquelyn will also cover strategies as well as food, lifestyle and herbal supports for woman from menarche,
perimenopause, menopause and beyond. This class is meant to be interactive and Jacquelyn would love some of your questions ahead of time. So, when you register feel free to add a question or two to your email regarding women’s health. You will be going home with two herbal teas that you will learn about in the class along with a sleep balm! I personally already use Rowdy Prisoners Sleep Balm and it’s been my sleep miracle worker.

All guests will also receive 20% off everything in our ēlia boutique the day of the class. There will also be small bites and beverages provided for you during class.

8 years ago at this time we were preparing to open Ēlia on April 1, 2017. I knew it had to be a clean ingredient spa. Unfortunately, there was not much conclusive research on why you should avoid certain ingredients…I just knew they were better for us. All of my children suffered with eczema and I 100% always see a flare up when they accidentally use something that they shouldn’t. That is/was enough for me to change things. -
I’m so thankful for studies starting to surface that show the physical aspects of how what you put on your skin matters.

New research shows that avoiding the preservatives parabens & phthalates for just 28 days reverses cancer-related changes in breast tissue.

The study was published in Chemosphere.

Researchers analyzed breast tissue samples before and after a 28 day period, revealing significant reversals of cancer-associated phenotypes. These changes included alterations in key cellular pathways such as PI3K-AKT/mTOR, autophagy, and apoptotic signaling, which are all linked to cancer development.

The study suggests that even short-term avoidance of these chemicals may have a measurable impact on breast tissue at the molecular level.

Parabens and phthalates are widely used as preservatives and fragrance enhancers in cosmetics and personal care products, but they also act as xenoestrogens — synthetic compounds that mimic estrogen in the body.

Since estrogen plays a role in breast cancer development, reducing exposure to these chemicals may help lower the risk of cancer-related cellular changes. This research underscores the importance of choosing products free from harmful endocrine disruptors and highlights a potential preventive strategy against breast cancer.
