Can we talk for a minute about cake? At yesterday's Code Boone: An Afternoon in the Country, supporting Boone Health, the cake walk was like a dream come true, thanks to our local businesses and home bakers who provided a ton of cakes, pies, cookies, donuts, cupcakes and ice cream cakes. Our hearts are full. What a wonderful experience Code Boone: An Afternoon in the Country was earlier today! The Budweiser horses greeted our guests, sponsored by Ninichuck, the bourbon/wine pull expertly managed by Pefferman, the Cake Walk run by Heins and Lorie Smith, our 50/50 team of Nicole Hicks and Allison Hoffman, volunteers Lisa Todd, Hoffman and Jenny Workman, the pig roast and amazing food by Peachtree Catering Inc, location: 's Ridge Event Venue, Lighting by SW Productions, florals by Ambet Kneibel, all expertly overseen by Ashley Minor of Delight Events. Aric Bremer was an amazing emcee, and Steve Barcellona provided magic and laughter. Our speakers, Jenny Workman and Eric Sappington moved us with their stories on health and healing journeys at Boone.

Congratulations to Dr. Sara Crowder on performing her 3,000th surgery using the da Vinci robotic surgical system — placing her in the top 5% of robotic surgeons nationwide!

A pioneer in gynecologic oncology, Dr. Crowder has been using the da Vinci robot since 2011 to offer minimally invasive, high-precision care to patients across mid-Missouri.

Quack, quack!

Since the last weather event, several "ice ducks" have appeared on the Boone Health campus. No one knows who created them, but their numbers have started to grow. There were initially four, and this morning, two more appeared. They are bringing smiles to Boone Health staff and patients!
