New sign. New look. Same heart. 💙
During installation of our rebranded logo, we had a special surprise—the original Clinic signage was uncovered, a meaningful reminder of how far we’ve come.

Thank you to Colite and Peter Brown for Columbia City Council for the signage and installation. While our look has evolved, our commitment to compassionate, accessible care remains the same.

Honoring our past. Welcoming our future.

The Free Medical Clinic is marking an important leadership transition—one rooted in deep gratitude and continued commitment to our mission of providing compassionate, free healthcare.

Leadership Transition
We honor the extraordinary service of two leaders who have helped shape The Free Medical Clinic and we welcome the next chapter of leadership guiding our mission forward.

Thank You, Dr. Todd Crump
For 28 years, including 22 years as Medical Director, Dr. Todd Crump has served our patients with compassion, excellence, and dignity. His leadership has touched thousands of lives. Dr. Crump will continue to serve as Medical Director Emeritus and as a member of our Board of Directors. The Dr. Todd Crump Patient Care Fund has been established in honor of his leadership and legacy to assist with the purchase of medical equipment, supplies, and resources that we may not always have the budget for.

Thank You, Freddie Strange
After 11 years as Executive Director, Freddie leaves a lasting legacy of growth, partnership, and expanded access to care. His steady leadership strengthened the Clinic and ensured our mission could continue to serve those most in need.

Welcoming Dr. Lynn Tucker
We are excited to welcome Dr. Lynn Tucker as Medical Director. A volunteer for the past 5 years, her clinical leadership and patient-centered approach ensure continuity of care as we build on the strong foundation of our services.

Welcoming Caryn Pumphrey
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Caryn Pumphrey as our new Executive Director. Caryn brings a deep commitment to mission-driven leadership, access to care, and community partnership as we continue serving our patients and community.

Thank you to our leaders—past and present—and to our community for making access to care possible. 💙

🌟 Donor Spotlight: The Cheerful Giver Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation 🌟

We are honored to share extraordinary news as we head into this season of generosity.

Thanks to a transformational $30,000 gift from The Cheerful Giver Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation, The Free Medical Clinic is able to continue to provide life-changing care for our neighbors who are uninsured. This support fuels everything from chronic disease management to compassionate wrap-around services.

As the world celebrates Giving Tuesday, we are reminded that the heart of this movement is not fundraising — it’s community. It’s the belief that everyone deserves a chance to live a healthier life, and that meaningful change happens when people choose to lift others up.

Today, we’re celebrating that spirit — and the generosity that keeps our doors open to thousands each year.

💙 Thank you, The Cheerful Giver Fund of Central Carolina Community Foundation, for helping us ensure that quality healthcare is always within reach.
Your support is making a healthier Midlands possible.

💙🎸 What a night! Doctors Lounge 2025 was unforgettable. 🎸💙

To every sponsor, donor, musician, volunteer, and guest — thank you for showing up for The Free Medical Clinic and for the patients we serve.

This year was especially meaningful as we celebrated the retirement of Dr. Todd Crump, who has volunteered with the Clinic for 28 years, 22 of those as our volunteer Medical Director. His legacy of compassion and service will continue through The Dr. Todd Crump Patient Care Fund, established to support patient care for years to come through the purchase of bus passes, home blood pressure monitors, and other vital items. Want to contribute to the fund? Head to www.freemedclinic.org.

Because of YOU, uninsured adults across the Midlands will continue to receive:
🩺 primary & specialty care
💊 access to vital medications
💻 resource navigation and assistance

We can’t wait to share the final impact total soon — and we are deeply grateful for every person who honored Dr. Crump through their gift.

💙 You rocked with the docs — and changed lives.
